PCBWay now offers multi-colored printed circuit boards

November 26, 2024 by David Edwards

PCBWay now offers designers the chance to print any color image on the PCB they design

Printed circuit boards are often overlooked by the very consumers they work so hard to serve, and that’s fine because they are not meant to stand out – in fact, they are usually hidden away inside the device somewhere. PCBs provide essential functionality to the device they are embedded into. Therefore, they tend to be whatever colors the PCB manufacturer offers.

And until now, the overwhelming majority of PCBs have been green in colour. That is because of the solder mask – almost every manufacturer uses the green standard solder mask.

The main reason is that green is thought to be be the most functional color: you can have white text on it and it will show up well, while still protecting the circuits underneath.

Geek+ launches RoboShuttle Plus to compete with AutoStore

February 8, 2023 by Mai Tao

Geek+, a provider of mobile logistics robots, has released its latest solution, RoboShuttle Plus, which looks similar to, and may compete with, the AutoStore system.

Geek+ says its new RoboShuttle Plus system achieves one-stop storage and picking of all types of goods and delivers higher throughput and flexibility, adding that “this marks a significant advance in the interoperability of Geek+’s various robot models and a stride towards full warehouse automation”.

The upgraded solution fills the market gap for an all-in-one picking solution by coordinating of three types of robots around one centralized workstation: RoboShuttles handle vertical storage and retrieval of totes, P40 picking robots move smaller items, and P500 and P800 robots move medium to large items. Getting an Immediate Insurance Check After an Accident

April 25, 2022 by David Edwards

Insurance companies continue to find new ways to pay less than what a person deserves when the victim sustains injuries through no fault of their own.

One tactic these companies use now is to send an insurance check to a claimant in the hopes they will cash it. Once the victim cashes the check, the insurance company doesn’t have to pay this individual any more money.

They argue the person agreed to the settlement amount when they cashed it. How can a victim ensure they get fair compensation for their injuries, and what should they do when they receive this check? [Read more…] about Getting an Immediate Insurance Check After an Accident

Fanuc launches new 1,000 kg payload industrial robotic arm

January 24, 2022 by David Edwards

Fanuc America, the world’s largest maker of industrial robots, has introduced the new M-1000iA robot capable of handling very heavy products including automotive components, construction materials and battery packs for electric vehicles.

The M-1000iA’s serial-link construction gives the robot a wider range of motion in every direction. It can extend its arm upright or rotate it backwards, which is not possible for typical heavy-payload robots with a parallel-link mechanism.

With a 1,000 kg payload, a 3,253 mm horizontal reach, and a 4,297 mm vertical reach the M-1000iA is ready to go to work for manufacturers looking to increase output and maximize their production line’s efficiency. [Read more…] about Fanuc launches new 1,000 kg payload industrial robotic arm
