Exotec and Komar launch ‘next-generation’ automated fulfilment centre in Savannah

Exotec, a global warehouse robotics company, has announced a major automation deployment with Komar Distribution Services (KDS), a third-party logistics provider.

KDS is set to equip its 760,000 square-foot facility in Savannah, Georgia with Exotec’s Skypod robotic system and a fully integrated end-to-end automation solution.

The site is designed to support significant projected growth in D2C volume across apparel, home goods, and consumer products brands, including Komar-owned labels such as Cuddl Duds and Le Mystère, alongside 3PL clients. Arvato accelerates robotics implementation through strategic partnership with Unchained Robotics

Third-party logistics service provider Arvato says it is taking the next step to bring automation and robotics into operational use faster and more effectively.

Through a strategic partnership with technology company Unchained Robotics, Arvato is accelerating the development and implementation of modular, vendor-independent robotics solutions for logistics and fulfillment processes. As part of the collaboration, Arvato has acquired a minority stake in the Paderborn-based German company.

Robotics is deliberately viewed not as an isolated technology, but as an integral part of holistic automation and scaling concepts.
