Industrial robot components market set for higher growth over next decade

The global industrial robot components market is expected to be valued at $6.3 billion in 2023 and it is anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 13.9 percent to reach $23.2 billion by the end of 2033.

Over the 2018-2022 historical period, the global industrial robot component market registered a compound annual growth rate of 12.5 percent, according to Fact.MR, a market research and competitive intelligence provider, the market is projected to exhibit growth at 13.9 percent compound annual growth rate between 2023 and 2033.

Outrider releases ‘fully autonomous’ truck parking system

Outrider, a developer of autonomous technology for yard operations at logistics hubs, has released “fully autonomous” trailer backing capabilities to its fleet.

This proprietary technology enables autonomous yard trucks to back trailers into tight spaces with precision and without modifications to trailers.

Report: North American articulated robots market set to grow

The revenue of the North America articulated robots market is projected to reach $5.85 billion by 2026 in terms of robot systems including hardware, software & service, a 2019-2026 CAGR of 11.98%, according to a new report from ResearchAndMarkets.com.

Industrial robots are in high demand in the automotive sector, and a research company is saying the market will grow to beyond $8 billion by 2021.

Igus launches pre-assembled Robolink D 5-axis articulated arms

Igus says the low-cost robot enables simple configuration, easy acquisition, and immediate connection 

Igus has launched its Robolink D 5-axis articulated arms as an assembly kit consisting of arm, motor and gearbox, or now as a ready-to-connect articulated arm, enabling machine and system builders to rapidly implement their own low-cost robotic automation systems.

Robert Dumayne, director of dry-tech bearings, Igus, says: “Robots are taking over more and more in automation tasks. Last year, sales of industrial robots exceeded 245,000 pieces, marking a new record.”

At the same time, Igus says, interest is also growing in simple and inexpensive robotics solutions. Chinese company Delta launches new industrial robot

Delta has unveiled the latest version of its articulated industrial robot.

The Chinese company says its DRV90L / DRV 70L series can be “perfectly integrated with AC motor drives, motion control systems, sensors, machine vision systems, advanced host controllers and more, to construct high-end automation machines and systems”.

Technavio survey lists ‘world’s top four’ robot companies

Technavio has listed what it claims are the top four leading vendors in their recent global articulated robots market 2015-2019 report. This research report also lists numerous prominent vendors that are expected to impact the market during the forecast period.

Competitive vendor landscape

According to Bharath Kanniappan, lead research analyst at Technavio for robotics, “The top four vendors in the global articulated robots market concentrate on the development of application-specific and industry-specific articulated robots, which help them to have a competitive edge.”
