Robot orders in key sectors ‘jumped 105 percent’, says A3

North American robot orders climbed in the third quarter of 2025, signaling renewed momentum in manufacturing automation.

According to the latest data released by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3), 8,806 robots valued at $574 million were ordered in Q3, an 11.6 percent increase in units and 17.2 percent rise in revenue compared to the same period last year. Hummink raises $20 million to bring ‘micronic precision printing’ to advanced manufacturing

As microelectronics underpin the rise of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, the smallest manufacturing imperfections have become billion-euro problems.

Each defect at the sub-micron scale can derail an entire batch of chips or displays. Paris-based deep-tech company Hummink is tackling that challenge head-on.

The company has raised €15 million in a funding round co-led by KBC Focus Fund, Cap Horn and Bpifrance to expand deployment of its patented High-Precision Capillary Printing (HPCaP) technology, which enables manufacturers to print metals and functional materials with record-level accuracy and repair microscopic defects in real time. Comau’s MATE-XB exoskeleton gains EU Category II PPE certification

Comau’s MATE-XB exoskeleton has been officially certified as Category II Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) under EU Regulation 2016/425, confirming that the device meets European standards for worker protection and ergonomic support.

The certification elevates MATE-XB from an ergonomic aid to equipment that can be formally integrated into workplace safety systems and risk-assessment procedures.

Aviator Airport Alliance secures full scope ground handling contract with Norwegian in Helsinki

Aviator Airport Alliance, said to be the largest independent ground handling provider in the Nordic region and part of Avia Solutions Group, has signed a contract with Scandinavia’s second-largest airline Norwegian.

The multi year contract is for the provision of full ground handling services at Helsinki Airport (HEL), Finland.
