ABB launches E-Device to let users control robots from their own tablets and PCs

ABB Robotics is expanding its programming tool and user interface portfolio with the launch of E-Device, a compact safety interface that enables customers to use their own tablet or PC to operate, program and monitor OmniCore-powered robots and cobots.

Built on the OmniCore User Interface (UI), E-Device provides users with familiar, full-featured robot interaction with dedicated physical safety controls whether they are using a tablet, PC or robot teach pendant.

ABB launches AppStudio no-code tool for robot interface programming

ABB has launched AppStudio, which the company describes as an intuitive no-code software tool designed to empower users of all experience levels to quickly and easily create customized robotic user interfaces.

With intuitive functionality and features including a collaborative cloud-based library enabling users to share application templates, AppStudio will reduce setup times by up to 80 percent.
