Gartner predicts one in 20 supply chain managers will manage robots, not humans, by 2030

July 16, 2025 by David Edwards

Eighty percent of humans will engage with smart robots on a daily basis, and one in 20 supply chain managers will manage robots, rather than humans, by 2030, according to business management consultancy Gartner.

Organizations are placing greater emphasis on enhancing the capabilities of their existing workforce by supplementing with robotics due to factors like labor scarcity and rising costs.

Smart robots have been identified by chief supply chain officers (CSCOs) as an important investment area, though many acknowledge their organization lacks internal robotics expertise to maximally leverage these innovative technologies. Mujin establishes global executive team to accelerate expansion of MujinOS

July 15, 2025 by David Edwards

Mujin, the pioneer of intelligent robotics, has established a “Global Leadership Cabinet” (GLC) to unify its operations worldwide and drive the commercial expansion of its flagship platform, MujinOS.

The GLC will align technology, product, sales, and governance functions across all regions, positioning the company for its next phase of growth and long-term strategic plans.

At the heart of MujinOS is a real-time digital twin, a continuously updating model of a robotics system’s physical environment, forming the core of machine intelligence. This no-code technology allows robots to plan and adapt in real-time without the need to directly program behaviors. Prime Vision robots optimize K-Parts order picking for motorbike spares

July 8, 2025 by David Edwards

Robots are giving growing e-commerce businesses the opportunity to sort orders in a highly efficient and scalable manner.

This is certainly the case for K-Parts, a large online supplier of scooter, moped, motorbike and bicycle parts, which is using Prime Vision robots to accelerate its warehouse logistics at Harderwijk in the Netherlands.

Working together with K-Parts staff and an automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS), robots have optimized the sorting process and powered future growth. [Read more…] about Prime Vision robots optimize K-Parts order picking for motorbike spares

Amazon’s relentless march towards total global roboticization

July 2, 2025 by Sam Francis

Amazon has quietly passed a stunning milestone: the deployment of 1 million robots across its global operations.

While not all are fully autonomous, the scale and speed of the company’s automation push have sparked a bigger question – how soon will robots outnumber human workers inside Amazon’s warehouses?

With the announcement of a new generative AI foundation model powering its fleet, Amazon is transforming its fulfillment network into one of the most advanced robotic ecosystems in the world. The implications – on efficiency, employment, and the future of logistics – are significant. [Read more…] about Amazon’s relentless march towards total global roboticization

Amazon marks deployment of 1 millionth robot and unveils new AI foundation model for its robots

July 1, 2025 by Sam Francis

Amazon Robotics has reached two major milestones in its robotics and AI operations: the deployment of its one millionth robot and the launch of a new generative AI foundation model designed to optimize its global fleet of warehouse robots.

The new AI model, called DeepFleet, is expected to improve robot travel efficiency by 10 percent across Amazon’s fulfillment network, which spans more than 300 facilities worldwide. The company says the technology will support faster customer deliveries and reduce operational costs.

“Think of DeepFleet as an intelligent traffic system for our robotic fleet,” writes Scott Dresser, vice president of Amazon Robotics, in a blog post on one of the company’s websites. “It optimizes how robots move within our facilities, reducing congestion and improving efficiency.” [Read more…] about Amazon marks deployment of 1 millionth robot and unveils new AI foundation model for its robots
