Hai Robotics achieves EU cybersecurity compliance for automated warehouse systems

Hai Robotics has announced that its HaiPick Systems have achieved compliance with the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) Articles 3.3(d), marking an important milestone in strengthening cybersecurity standards for connected warehouse automation systems.

The certification, verified by TÜV SÜD, formally validates that Hai Robotics’ autonomous storage and retrieval solutions meet European regulatory requirements for wireless connectivity and data security.

In an increasingly connected logistics environment, the company says cybersecurity is fundamental to ensuring safe and reliable warehouse operations. Hai Robotics’ HaiPick Systems have long followed strict cybersecurity practices for industrial equipment, and the TÜV SÜD evaluation now formally recognizes that commitment. Grubhub expands partnership with Avride to bring autonomous delivery robots to its marketplace

Grubhub is expanding its partnership with Avride to launch a robot delivery pilot for customers ordering from Wonder’s Jersey City location.

The initiative marks the first time Grubhub has offered autonomous delivery in its marketplace outside of college campuses – and the first time Wonder is bringing robot delivery to its customers.

During the pilot, customers can place orders from Wonder’s Jersey City location through the Grubhub platform as usual. If an eligible delivery address is within a set range of the restaurant, they will have the option to choose delivery via an Avride robot. Nebius launches Nebius Robotics and Physical AI Awards

Data center technology company Nebius has announced the Nebius Robotics and Physical AI Awards, a new global initiative to find “the next big thing” among startups and scale-ups building the future of robotics and vision AI systems.

The awards, which are accepting applications through October 30, 2025, aim to showcase companies advancing the frontier of physical AI, from embodied robotics and autonomous systems to streaming video analytics – technologies that are redefining how the physical world is observed, understood, and automated.

MMI enrolls first patient in landmark US study advancing robotic microsurgery

Medical Microinstruments (MMI) has announced that the first patient has been enrolled in its PRECISE clinical study, a landmark US trial designed to evaluate robotic precision in complex reconstructive microsurgery.

The PRECISE study – described as the largest prospective, multi-center clinical trial in the US focused on robotic-assisted microsurgery – will assess MMI’s Symani Surgical System in free tissue transfer and lymphatic repair procedures across up to 455 patients at leading cancer centers.

The first case was completed at a nonprofit academic healthcare organization in Los Angeles, marking a major milestone for both the field and MMI’s mission to bring robotic precision to delicate open surgical procedures. Ardian acquires stake in JPB Système to boost aerospace innovation and Industry 4.0 growth

Private investment firm Ardian has acquired a minority stake in JPB Système, a French manufacturer of self-locking fastening solutions for aircraft engines and a growing player in Industry 4.0 technologies.

The partnership between Ardian’s Growth team and JPB Système CEO Damien Marc aims to accelerate the company’s international expansion, strengthen its innovation strategy, and support its technological development in both aerospace and industrial markets.

The Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) hosted the fifth annual Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up at Gillette Stadium on October 21, bringing together manufacturers, students and policymakers to celebrate innovation and strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem. 

The full-day event featured exhibitions, live demonstrations, and engagement opportunities for more than 300 students from Innovation Career Pathway high schools, community colleges and universities across Massachusetts.

AgiBot World Challenge brings embodied intelligence to life at IROS 2025

As humanoid robots dominate the headlines at this year’s International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2025), the AgiBot World Challenge directed the spotlight at embodied intelligence – testing how well robots can bridge the gap between digital simulation and real-world performance.

The official competition of IROS 2025 has attracted 431 robotics teams from 23 countries, all pushing the limits of autonomy, dexterity, and real-time perception. After three months of global online trials, the top 12 teams are now heading to Hangzhou for the offline finals.

During the finals, robots will be challenged to perform a series of complex real-world tasks – including folding a T-shirt, picking items from a moving conveyor belt, and preparing food using a microwave – all fully autonomously.
