NūMove Robotics & Vision partners with KPI Solutions to develop new robotic order picking system for beverage warehousing

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

Robotic systems manufacturer, NūMove Robotics & Vision, and supply chain services and automation integrator, KPI Solutions, have joined forces to create an innovative robotic concept that optimizes order preparation for fast-moving SKUs in the beer and beverage industry.

Called “RAPTOR”, this high-throughput, dual-robot system tackles the growing demand for efficiency and flexibility in modern warehouse operations while addressing the challenges of mixed palletizing.

Requiring only approximately 2,500 square feet (230 square meters) of space, this vision-guided system simplifies order preparation by depalletizing products into SKU-specific buffer lanes and then repalletizing them into retail-ready mixed-SKU order pallets. New generation of robotic cells to drive flexible, zero-emission aerospace manufacturing

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

Achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and improving competitiveness by reducing production costs is the dual objective set by the aeronautical industry.

This goal is currently hampered by the dependence on heavy, expensive, and inflexible machinery in manufacturing processes.

To address this situation, the technology centre IDEKO has contributed to the development of a new generation of flexible, sensorised and connected robotic cells within the framework of the ROBOCOMP project. SMART and NUS pioneer neural blueprint for human-like intelligence in soft robots

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology’s (SMART) Mens, Manus & Machina (M3S) interdisciplinary research group, and National University of Singapore (NUS), alongside collaborators from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), have developed an AI control system that enables soft robotic arms to learn a wide repertoire of motions and tasks once, then adjust to new scenarios on the fly without needing retraining or sacrificing functionality.

This breakthrough brings soft robotics closer to human-like adaptability for real-world applications, such as in assistive robotics, rehabilitation robots, and wearable or medical soft robots, by making them more intelligent, versatile and safe.

Unlike regular robots that move using rigid motors and joints, soft robots are made from flexible materials such as soft rubber and move using special actuators – components that act like artificial muscles to produce physical motion. Chinese company AutoFlight unveils ‘world’s first five-ton class’ eVTOL aircraft

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

Chinese startup AutoFlight has unveiled Matrix, the world’s first 5-ton class electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which successfully completed a public full transition flight demonstration at the company’s low-altitude flight test facility center.

During the demonstration, where Matrix flew alongside AutoFlight’s 2-ton CarryAll cargo eVTOL, Matrix completed the full mode transition flight sequence, transitioning from vertical take-off through cruise flight to vertical landing.

The achievement validates AutoFlight’s eVTOL technologies across complex aerodynamic systems, high-power electric propulsion, and advanced flight control systems, marking the first time a 5-ton eVTOL has achieved full transition flight. RoboDK launches CAM solution designed to reduce robotic machining deployment times

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

RoboDK, a provider of robot simulation and offline programming software, has launched RoboDK CAM, describing it as “a comprehensive software solution that significantly reduces deployment times for automated machining cells”.

Unlike complex traditional approaches which require specialists to manually program each robot and end-effector using vendor-specific languages, RoboDK CAM automatically generates robot code from CAD designs and digital simulations, reducing the complexity and cost of machining automation deployments.

This allows manufacturers and integrators to move directly from design to production without having to be experts in robot programming. [Read more…] about RoboDK launches CAM solution designed to reduce robotic machining deployment times
