How to Get CNC Manufacturing Process Right in Your Shop

July 21, 2022 by David Edwards

When talking about CNC manufacturing process, you must understand that a manufacturing process consists of various operations performed sequentially, adding value to the final product.

Therefore, a typical CNC workshop involves more than one machine performing different operations.

Unlike traditional machines that required a separate operator to handle the operation, CNC machines provide an automated operation, thereby eliminating the need for extra hands in your shop. [Read more…] about How to Get CNC Manufacturing Process Right in Your Shop

Comau introduces new robot for ‘sensitive’ environments

July 16, 2022 by David Edwards

Comau has introduced its new Racer-5 Sensitive Environments (Racer-5 SE), a high-speed industrial robot designed for the special and sensitive settings that characterize the pharmaceutical, health and beauty, food and beverage and electronics industries.

Featuring a protective water, heat and grease-resistant coating, the ruggedized 6-axis articulated robot fully responds to the demand for IP67 certification, high-grade ISO 5 Cleanroom classification (ISO 14644-1), protection from chemical agents and the need to reduce the risk of contamination. It also has NSF H1 food grade lubrication.

Further benefits of the dedicated robot include reduced operator risk when working with potentially harmful chemicals and substances, as well as increased productivity, traceability, and quality. [Read more…] about Comau introduces new robot for ‘sensitive’ environments

Fugro expands its autonomous vessel fleet for geophysical surveys

July 6, 2022 by David Edwards

Fugro has signed a contract with Kooiman Engineering and Van Oossanen Naval Architects for the naval design of Blue Prism, Fugro’s next generation of uncrewed surface vessels (USVs).

Specifically engineered for operations in both coastal and offshore environments, the Blue Prism will combine an ultra-low carbon footprint with high quality data collection, weather resilience and endurance characteristics.

Available to clients in 2023, Fugro’s Blue Prism will acquire bathymetry and sub-bottom data of the highest accuracy using hull mounted sensors, whilst also having the ability to tow multiple geophysical sensors. [Read more…] about Fugro expands its autonomous vessel fleet for geophysical surveys

Junk car buyers and why you should consider them

June 29, 2022 by David Edwards

One of the worst things anyone can experience at a random moment is a lack of cash. This can be further compounded if you have a piece of damaged heavy machinery lying around and taking up real estate. This piece of heavy machinery is almost always a car and it can be a problem that no one wants to deal with.

This is where the junk car buyer Junkcarsus or a salvage yard comes in to help you. The Junkcarsus businesses specialize in the buying of old or damaged cars which can then be salvaged for parts or resold as a whole.

Such dealing opportunities are essentially a way out for people trying to be relieved of the burden of having a beat-up car taking up space. At the same time, they will give you a quick payday for something that you don’t even want. [Read more…] about Junk car buyers and why you should consider them

Using IDS cameras in fully automated wood parts inspection process

December 21, 2021 by David Edwards

You always need and see them everywhere: in metalworking, on the construction site, in almost every toolbox… the good old hand brush.

Whether classic all-purpose brushes or brushes for special applications, the German-based company Lessmann GmbH has virtually all of them in its range.

The shape is varied, from straight to ergonomic. But they all have one thing in common: The wooden bodies are made exclusively from untreated red beech. Depending on the model, they also have two hanging holes at the end of the handle.

Production is fully automatic and highly rational. In order to ensure its own claim to the excellent quality of the hand brush woods, Lessmann has been relying on classic image processing for many years. [Read more…] about Using IDS cameras in fully automated wood parts inspection process
