The use of collaborative robots or “cobots” is on the rise in the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical application takes up around 0.05 percent of the total medical robot market size.

Valued at $553 million, the pharmaceutical robotic market is forecast to grow at 15.7 percent compound annual growth rate to reach $2 billion by 2030.

Geek+ launches RoboShuttle Plus to compete with AutoStore

Geek+, a provider of mobile logistics robots, has released its latest solution, RoboShuttle Plus, which looks similar to, and may compete with, the AutoStore system. 

Geek+ says its new RoboShuttle Plus system achieves one-stop storage and picking of all types of goods and delivers higher throughput and flexibility, adding that “this marks a significant advance in the interoperability of Geek+’s various robot models and a stride towards full warehouse automation”.

The upgraded solution fills the market gap for an all-in-one picking solution by coordinating of three types of robots around one centralized workstation: RoboShuttles handle vertical storage and retrieval of totes, P40 picking robots move smaller items, and P500 and P800 robots move medium to large items. Kivnon to introduce its new forklift pallet stacker at ProMAT

Kivnon will showcase the latest addition to its AGV portfolio, its Forklift Pallet Stacker, at this year’s ProMAT, running March 20-23 in Chicago.

Kivnon says its AGVs/AMRs are “heavy-duty vehicles that improve safety and process efficiency”.

Attabotics, which describes itself as “the world’s first 3D robotics supply chain system for modern commerce”, has unveiled its Attabot 2022, the first commercialized version of its proprietary robot.

Built stronger and smarter than its predecessor, the Attabot 2022 boasts a simplified mechatronic design that reduces operational costs while increasing the efficiency of automated picking and packing of goods.

Beginning customer operations in August 2022, the Attabot 2022 is equipped with a flexible payload to accommodate larger bins up to 16” tall at 100 lb – an increase of 25 percent from Attabotics’ previous robot release. BlueBotics acquired by Zapi Group

BlueBotics, a developer of navigation systems for automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots, has been acquired by Zapi Group.

Zapi is a global provider of electrification and manufacturer of electronic speed controllers, electric motors, battery chargers, and associated products for electric and hybrid vehicles.
