It’s only recently that they’re being touted as a serious replacement for the internal combustion engine and a (partial) answer to our climate crisis.

The UK government says that it’ll ban the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030 – and you can reasonably expect any Labour government to be at least as ambitious, given their slightly greener voter-base.

RE2 Robotics plans expansion as it looks to increase staff by 50 per cent

RE2 Robotics, a developer of human-like robotic manipulation systems, says it will “significantly increase” its hiring efforts in 2020.

This hiring push is a direct result of the company’s expansion into commercial markets last year, including the aviation, energy and medical industries.

RE2 expects to increase its staff by 50 percent by the end 2020. The company, which increased its staff by 32 percent in 2019, is seeking to add approximately 20 engineers in a variety of disciplines, including mechanical, electrical and software engineering. Foxconn boss reiterates commitment to build factory in Wisconsin

Foxconn boss Terry Gou has reiterated his commitment to building a multi-million-dollar factory in Mount Pleasant, in the US state of Wisconsin.

The chairman of Foxconn, which is better known as Hon Hai Precision in its native Taiwan, met with US President Donald Trump at the White House earlier this week.

After the meeting, media reports suggested that Foxconn will make additional investments in the Wisconsin facility.
