HGZN has partnered with Hyundai Robotics to embark on a project to build smart factory to manufacture robots in Haining, China.

The official groundbreaking ceremony for the “HGZN’s Intelligent Robot Industrialization Project” was held recently at the Economic Development Zone in Haining.

The industrial automation sector is “paying the price for failing to think big and invest bigger”, according to a report by GlobalData.

The industrial automation sector was not in a great place before Covid-19 struck, having been slowed by flat capital expenditure and declining industrial production, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

The global robotics market is predicted to triple to $275 billion by 2025, according to analysis of International Federation of Robotics data by DC Advisory.

The investment bank calculates that the market was worth approximately $98 billion in 2018.

Omron opens new automation center in Tokyo

Industrial automation giant Omron has opened a new automation center in Shinagawa, Tokyo.

The facility, dubbed an “ATC”, is designed for customers to work with Omron to find solutions to their manufacturing issues.

The 37th ATC facility in the world, ATC-Tokyo is Omron’s flagship factory automation technology center, where model production floors are built within the world’s largest ATC facility to allow customers to experience and test state-of-the-art factory automation that integrates artificial intelligence, internet of things, robotics, and other cutting-edge technologies. Carlsberg reduces risk of accidents with Universal Robots

Carlsberg says it has almost eliminated the risk of accidents in its Fredericia plant, in Denmark.

The famous beer and beverage maker says it has achieved this by implementing collaborative robots from Universal Robots.
