AutoStore unveils Innovation Hub to test and replicate supply chain environments including earthquakes and multi-climate simulations.

AutoStore, a robotic technology company, has unveiled its new Innovation Hub located in Karmøy, Norway, a pioneering new center for testing and replicating diverse in-store and warehouse environments.

Organic wholesaler ‘doubles output’ with AutoStore and Swisslog warehouse automation

A top wholesaler in the Swiss organic market, Bio Partner, has “doubled its output” following the implementation of innovative robotic logistics from Swisslog at its facility in Aargau, Switzerland, according to the company. 

Bio Partner supplies business customers in the organic specialist trade as well as the rest of the retail and food industry from its location in Seon, in Switzerland.

As a result of the merger with Somona, the warehouse reached its performance and capacity limits, and the wholesaler turned to a local partner with a global footprint to deliver an automated storage system. Ahold Delhaize expands micro-fulfillment with Swisslog and AutoStore

Ahold Delhaize is expanding its micro-fulfillment capabilities as part of its omnichannel supply chain using warehouse automation technology from Swisslog and AutoStore.

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize, is the parent company for Ahold Delhaize’s US companies, including its local brands, which comprise:

  • Food Lion;
  • Giant Food;
  • The Giant Company;
  • Hannaford and Stop & Shop;
  • Retail Business Services, a US support services company providing services to the brands; and
  • Peapod Digital Labs, its digital, e-commerce and commercial engine.

When considered together, the local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA comprise the largest grocery retail group on the East Coast and the fourth largest grocery retail group in the nation, operating more than 2,000 stores and distribution centers across more than 20 states and serving millions of customers each week through a wide variety of store formats with thousands of food and non-food items. FBI installs AutoStore for centralized automated record filing and retrieval solution

The General Service Administration (GSA) has installed an automated record filing and retrieval system from robotics technology company AutoStore inside a recently completed Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) central records complex in Winchester, Virginia.

The facility includes the country’s first robotic filing and retrieval warehouse in a GSA project.

Certified by the National Archives and Records Administration, this secure, “state-of-the-art”, 250,000-square-foot facility was built to consolidate and contain records previously housed within 256 field offices around the world. AutoStore new Router system improves warehouse robotic productivity by up to 40 percent

AutoStore, the Norwegian robotics technology company, says its new “Router”, a newly developed software suite for its cube based order fulfillment system “increases robot productivity and efficiency by up to 40 percent”.

Karl Johan Lier, CEO of AutoStore, says: “The launch of Router could not have come at a better time. This software, available to all AutoStore users, will change the order-fulfillment landscape at a time when the ability to adapt quickly means everything.

AutoStore reports record revenue growth for 2019

AutoStore, the Norwegian robot technology company, reported revenues of $195 million in 2019, up 36 percent from 2018.

The company generated earnings of $108 million following the “continued strong demand for automated warehouse solutions”.

RightHand Robotics and Element Logic launch integrated robotic piece-picking solution

RightHand Robotics, a provider of warehouse automation technology, and Element Logic, an AutoStore partner, have launched an integrated robotic piece-picking solution that combines the technologies of both companies.
