Logistics company Evri set to trial autonomous guided vehicles in its Rugby, UK hub

April 27, 2026 by David Edwards

Evri Group is looking to lead the way in innovation and automation as “the UK’s premier parcel delivery company” and has taken the next step on its robotics journey as it has announced it is trialling two automated guided vehicles (AGVs) at its Rugby hub, marking the first step in what Evri is calling “under the roof” robotics.

Currently, Evri has workers moving cages or pallets with cardboard in from one end of the hub to another all day, every day.

The introduction of these robotic vehicles means they can pick up the load, and as a growing business, investing in robotics like this allows existing workers to be redistributed to more productive and meaningful tasks to meet the growing demands of increased parcel volumes as well as being upskilled to become robot handlers. AutoFlight completes first 2-ton-class eVTOL tea delivery in China

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

AutoFlight has successfully completed China’s first 2-ton-class eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) dedicated spring tea transport trial in Guizhou, a mountainous province in western China.

The trial deployed AutoFlight’s CarryAll (V2000CG) – a fully autonomous, unmanned eVTOL aircraft – to transport fresh spring tea between Anshun and Guiyang, two Guizhou cities approximately 120 km apart.

The unmanned flight crossed rugged mountain terrain in just 37 minutes, a significant improvement over road transportation in the region, where winding mountain routes make timely delivery a persistent challenge. [Read more…] about AutoFlight completes first 2-ton-class eVTOL tea delivery in China
