Intrinsic unveils new AI-powered industrial automation solutions at Automatica 2025

Intrinsic – a business unit of Alphabet, parent company of Google – is showcasing at Automatica 2025 several new AI-enabled robotic systems and platform enhancements aimed at transforming how automation providers and manufacturers build, deploy, and scale intelligent solutions.

The company has announced support for end-to-end solution development for CNC machine tending and optical inspection use cases on its Intrinsic platform. These new capabilities combine Intrinsic Flowstate, AI-powered perception, motion planning, and IntrinsicOS to streamline complex industrial automation tasks.

Among the highlights at the trade show are demonstrations from three new customers – Newston Automated Solutions, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems, and MartinSystems – each presenting their first solutions built with Intrinsic. SuperDial raises $15 million to automate healthcare’s ‘endless’ administrative phone calls

As AI agents reshape work across industries, SuperDial is targeting one of healthcare’s most expensive and invisible burdens: administrative phone calls, which the company characterizes as “endless”.

SuperDial has raised $15 million in new funding to scale its voice AI platform, which automates “high-friction” insurance calls that cost provider organizations and billing companies “billions of dollars every year”.

The debt and equity series A round was led by SignalFire, with participation from Slow Ventures, BoxGroup, and Scrub Capital. Torc plans new Michigan engineering center for autonomous vehicle innovation

Torc, a specialist in commercializing self-driving class 8 trucks, says it plans to establish a new engineering center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

As Torc continues its path toward commercialization in 2027, this strategic expansion will further accelerate the company’s productization efforts and tap into the region’s rich automotive and technology talent pool.

As part of its effort to open the Ann Arbor location, Torc worked closely with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to secure incentives to support the expansion into Michigan, as Torc plans significant hiring in this region to grow its team and technical talent capabilities. ABB Robotics is expanding its large robot portfolio with the launch of the IRB 6730S, IRB 6750S and IRB 6760.
