Elon Musk and his Tesla Bot: Will humanoid robots take over the world like all of science fiction predicts?

January 28, 2022 by Sam Francis

Arguably the world’s most visionary entrepreneur, Elon Musk, is rarely out of the news, whether it’s because of his super-duper Tesla electric cars or because of his achievements in aerospace, which include rockets and spacecraft built by his SpaceX company docking with and supplying the International Space Station.

In recent days, Musk has been in the news because of his reported comments about humanoid robots. According to Reuters and hundreds of other reputable news outlets, Musk believes humanoid robots will be an even bigger business than his Tesla car company, which at one stage was estimated to be the most valuable automaker in the world.

Musk unveiled his proposed humanoid robot – given the name “Tesla Bot” or “Optimus” for now – at a 3-hour stage presentation, which has been uploaded to YouTube. The machine is also mentioned on the Tesla company website. [Read more…] about Elon Musk and his Tesla Bot: Will humanoid robots take over the world like all of science fiction predicts?

Do You Need a Warranty on Your Tesla?

August 28, 2021 by Liv

Tesla has sold a few thousand vehicles in the past few years, which speaks to its popularity, but does it speak to its reliability?

That is a difficult question to answer. While they are designed to be long-lasting cars, warranties still could help with repairs that do crop up.

It helps if you know what is included in a factory warranty and how long you can expect coverage to last. You will also be better informed if you know your extended warranty options, too. [Read more…] about Do You Need a Warranty on Your Tesla?

Tesla to launch ridesharing app, with Tesla’s Driver Insurance

June 23, 2021 by Liv

While Uber and Lyft have been dominating the ridesharing industry and revolutionizing urban mobility, they’re likely to meet a new top competitor in Tesla.

The company has had its own ridesharing app in the works for some time. Uber and Lyft are at a disadvantage, as neither of them has made a profit.

Much of this has been attributed to how they’ve relied heavily on venture capital and IPO filings to stay afloat which has put them in a bind. [Read more…] about Tesla to launch ridesharing app, with Tesla’s Driver Insurance

Tesla defies odds and paces up hiring to maintain market leadership

September 25, 2020 by Liv

Despite the automotive industry suffering through the challenges brought on by COVID-19, Tesla has defied the odds and continued to hire at a higher rate than average throughout the pandemic.

Tesla: Is It Worth Your Money?

August 14, 2020 by Polly

To many, Tesla is a car company that manufactures electric cars or hybrid vehicles. While this is not wrong, the statement does not provide the full picture.

While they do manufacture cars, Tesla is actually an organization that is on a mission to “accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.” Apparently, it sees the production of hybrid vehicles as a significant step in that direction.

Even with such a noble cause, like many other big companies, Tesla is not without controversy. Many of the issues hurled at the company are actually about their CEO Elon Musk who just happens to brush some partners the wrong way with his views. [Read more…] about Tesla: Is It Worth Your Money?

The EV market continues to grow at an electrifying rate

July 22, 2020 by Polly

It wasn’t all that long ago that we thought Doc Brown powering his DeLorean with banana peels and apple cores was the stuff of science fiction.

And while we haven’t quite gone the way of biofuel, the best electric cars on the market today show that the future is a lot closer than we thought.

We have already moved away from simple hybridization towards vehicles that run on electrons alone, but plug-and-play cars are just a stepping stone on the way to the future. [Read more…] about The EV market continues to grow at an electrifying rate

The Future for Contactless Delivery

May 27, 2020 by Polly

By D. A. Rupprecht

The future for contactless product delivery is already here, and a pandemic seems to already be moving this trend forward.

It just needs companies to implement and customers to accept the new delivery and tracking methods, along with other innovations, that will make this so.

When this happens, we may one day look back and quietly thank the lowly coronavirus for catapulting us into a brighter future. [Read more…] about The Future for Contactless Delivery
