Swisslog delivers third AutoStore for Neoperl in China

Swisslog has built the third AutoStore system for Neoperl, after the previous two facilities in Switzerland and Italy.

The Neoperl Group is an international company with globally oriented production and sales locations. Its product portfolio includes highly standardized components for the manufacture of sanitary products, such as bath and kitchen faucets, showers, fittings, water filters, water meters and valves. Neoperl acts primarily as a supplier to the sanitary industry.

Swisslog and Berkshire Grey partner to develop robotic solutions to warehouse operations

Berkshire Grey, a developer of AI-enabled robotic solutions and Swisslog, a provider of data-driven robotics solutions, have agreed a partnership to provide robotic solutions to help grocery or e-grocery, e-commerce and retail customers meet the demands of today’s connected consumers while managing widespread labor shortages.

The partnership will initially focus on the American market.

Swisslog to deliver another AutoStore to Bring Parcels’ major venture in Copenhagen

In early 2021, Swisslog signed a framework agreement with Bring Parcels for the supply of warehouse automation for the logistics company’s new fulfillment solution “Shelfless”.

A decision has now been made to build the fully automated fulfillment solution also in Køge outside Copenhagen.

It is now clear that Bring will build its third automated AutoStore facility, this time in Køge outside Copenhagen. The facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023. Swisslog opens new location in Dortmund

After 30 years in Dortmund’s Technology Park, Swiss intralogistics specialist Swisslog is now moving into a new building in the Dorstfeld district of the city.

The company says the move is a sign of expansion and future orientation as well as a commitment to the Ruhr metropolis and Germany as a business location.

Swisslog brings supply chain automation to vertical farming

Swisslog, a provider of warehouse automation systems, is making a push into the vertical farming market and has demonstrated newly built technologies specifically designed for the sector. 

The company says its automation systems can bring scalability, flexibility and lower costs to vertical farming, allowing them to be installed and maintained in a wide range of pre-existing and purpose-built spaces.

Organic wholesaler ‘doubles output’ with AutoStore and Swisslog warehouse automation

A top wholesaler in the Swiss organic market, Bio Partner, has “doubled its output” following the implementation of innovative robotic logistics from Swisslog at its facility in Aargau, Switzerland, according to the company. 

Bio Partner supplies business customers in the organic specialist trade as well as the rest of the retail and food industry from its location in Seon, in Switzerland.

As a result of the merger with Somona, the warehouse reached its performance and capacity limits, and the wholesaler turned to a local partner with a global footprint to deliver an automated storage system. Ahold Delhaize expands micro-fulfillment with Swisslog and AutoStore

Ahold Delhaize is expanding its micro-fulfillment capabilities as part of its omnichannel supply chain using warehouse automation technology from Swisslog and AutoStore.

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize, is the parent company for Ahold Delhaize’s US companies, including its local brands, which comprise:

  • Food Lion;
  • Giant Food;
  • The Giant Company;
  • Hannaford and Stop & Shop;
  • Retail Business Services, a US support services company providing services to the brands; and
  • Peapod Digital Labs, its digital, e-commerce and commercial engine.

When considered together, the local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA comprise the largest grocery retail group on the East Coast and the fourth largest grocery retail group in the nation, operating more than 2,000 stores and distribution centers across more than 20 states and serving millions of customers each week through a wide variety of store formats with thousands of food and non-food items.
