Inbolt raises €15 million to make industrial robots smarter with AI

Inbolt, a startup providing real-time robot guidance solutions, has secured a €15 million Series A round.

The round is led by Exor Ventures, the early-stage investment arm of Exor, which is the largest shareholder of industrial groups such as Ferrari, Stellantis, and CNH industrial.

This financing is also supported by Bpifrance and repeat entrepreneur Yann Fleureau, founder of Cardiologs. Existing investors MIG Capital (Germany), SOSV (US), and BNP Paribas Développement (France), are also investing in the round, taking the total raised by the company to €20 million. AMS launches new position sensors for high-speed electric motors to ‘improve car industry’s electrification efforts’

AMS, a supplier of high performance sensor solutions, has introduced new position sensors that it says lower system cost and enhance electrification of safety-critical vehicle functions such as power steering, active damper control, and braking for safer, smarter, and greener cars.

The two new position sensors – the ams AS5147U and the AS5247U – bring new benefits and a lower system cost to the automotive industry, says ams.

What’s being described at the world’s first smart trash can is being developed in Poland.

SAP logistics boss says ‘robotics and automation are the future’

The head of logistics at software giant SAP says the future of the digital supply chain is robotics and automation. 

SAP is one of the world’s largest software companies in any sector, with more than 300,000 clients in around 190 countries, and its logistics division has customers such as luxury automaker Porsche, and large transport operations such as Trenitalia.

In an interview with em360tech.com, Hans Thalbauer, SVP of extended supply chain and IoT at SAP, says industries are becoming smarter because of these technologies.
