How EV-Grade BLDC Motors Perform in Heavy-Duty Automated Industrial Vehicles

January 28, 2026 by Sam Francis

In the realm of electric drive systems, the performance of EV-grade BLDC electric motors has become a defining factor in the transition to electrified heavy-duty industrial vehicles.

These brushless DC (BLDC) motors were originally developed for stringent automotive requirements but now power a wide range of industrial applications that demand reliability, high torque and energy efficiency.

From electric forklifts and haul trucks to autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) and heavy-duty mobile machines, EV-grade BLDC motors are increasingly recognized for their ability to meet tough operational demands. How data engineering impacts daily decisions

January 27, 2026 by Sam Francis

TL;DR:

  • Data engineering solutions determine how quickly and reliably daily business decisions happen across sales, operations, and finance.
  • Consistent pipelines, validation, and monitoring reduce hesitation and prevent decisions based on incomplete data.
  • Real-time and scheduled data flows enable faster reactions to demand, risk, and customer behavior.
  • STX Next supports organisations with scalable data engineering solutions that stabilise metrics and improve decision confidence.

Modern organisations make hundreds of operational and commercial choices every day. Pricing adjustments, stock replenishment, campaign tweaks, and risk approvals all depend on data arriving fast and remaining trustworthy.

Data engineering sits underneath those moments, shaping what decision-makers see, when they see it, and how much confidence they place in it. When pipelines work well, daily judgement improves quietly. When they fail, teams hesitate or act on partial signals. [Read more…] about How data engineering impacts daily decisions

Benefits of 3D guidance in industrial robots

January 26, 2026 by Sam Francis

Ten years ago, industrial automation was all about pre-programmed movements. Today, it’s capable of much more dynamic and intelligent processes that are less rigid. Core to this has been the integration of advanced vision systems.

This change kicked off while 2D vision was still the dominant form of guidance, but moving to 3D guidance has seen another wave of innovation in manufacturing.

Perceiving depth and spatial orientation has lifted the ceiling on the complexity of tasks robots can handle, but it’s also lifted the floor in how precise and reliable they are too, which is arguably more important. [Read more…] about Benefits of 3D guidance in industrial robots
