The Nordics: A global case study in sustainable data centre growth

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

How Northern Europe’s long-term approach to energy, planning and balance became the industry’s quiet success story

As power-constrained markets in Europe grapple with permitting pauses and grid restrictions, the Nordics – Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland – have quietly demonstrated what sustainable growth looks like in practice.

The lesson from the region is straightforward but profound. By aligning infrastructure planning with renewable energy capacity and public cooperation, the Nordics have created a foundation for data centre development that is both commercially and environmentally durable.

“The Nordic markets prove that sustainability and scalability can coexist when policy, power and planning move together,” says Charlie Enright, senior analyst at DC Byte. “Their approach shows that growth and responsibility can be complementary rather than conflicting forces.” [Read more…] about The Nordics: A global case study in sustainable data centre growth

Abu Dhabi and Skyports take pivotal steps to bring commercial advanced air mobility to emirate

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

Abu Dhabi Airports and Skyports Infrastructure, a specialist in vertiport infrastructure for the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry, have announced the development of Abu Dhabi’s commercial vertiport network, laying the foundation for an emirate wide vertiport rollout.

Announced on November 11th 2025 during DriftX Abu Dhabi, the partnership paves the way for AAM operations in the Emirate, confirming the construction of two initial vertiport sites at Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI).

Construction of these initial vertiports is already underway, and are set to be complete in Q1 2026. More than 10 vertiport sites across the emirate will be developed as a part of the plan. Before the big freeze: Nordic Dino CEO offers tips on how to prepare for de-icing season by robo-washing aircraft

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

While de-icing is essential for winter flight safety, there’s a preventive strategy that can reduce both its frequency and intensity: keeping aircraft exteriors clean.

Here, Veronika Andrianovaite, CEO of Nordic Dino, a provider of robotic cleaning services for aircraft, explains how regular aircraft washing creates surfaces that resist ice adhesion and require less aggressive de-icing procedures. Candela says its flying electric ferries will ‘clean up the Maldives and end seasickness’ and bring world peace

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

A fleet of revolutionary electric vessels will help the Maldives cut pollution – while giving tourists a smooth, seasickness-free ride. Meet the Swedish-made engineering marvel Candela P-12.

In 2026, tourists will be able to leave behind the bumpy, gasoline-smelling speedboats that dominate transport in the Maldives and instead board the Candela P-12, the world’s first “flying” electric shuttle ship.

A fleet of 10 cutting-edge, Swedish-built vessels has been purchased by the Maldivian operator Ego Shuttle. Flying 1.5 meters above the surface at higher speeds than any other electric ship, the innovative P-12 has been named a “game changer” for combining long electric range with high speed at sea. ADCERAX Launches Advanced Alumina Tube Technology to Support Industrial Automation and Robotics

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

Industrial automation and robotics are becoming increasingly dependent on materials that can withstand demanding thermal and mechanical environments.

To support this shift, ADCERAX has introduced a new generation of high-purity alumina ceramic tube technology engineered for high-temperature control, insulation, and structural stability in next-generation automated systems.

As robots move into more extreme operating conditions – industrial furnaces, precision thermal modules, semiconductor handling, and chemical processing – materials must ensure reliability at temperatures above 1500°C while maintaining dimensional precision. November 13, 2025 by David Edwards

Travel shows how different we can be. Language, traditions, food, views on life – everything differs. It seems these differences should separate people. But the opposite happens. It’s precisely the unlikeness to each other that makes meetings interesting, and relationships – deep.

Dubai gathers people from all over the world. Here it’s easy to meet someone who grew up in a completely different culture, thinks differently, lives by different rules.

Rent car in Dubai gives freedom to explore the city and meet people on your own terms – without dependence on excursion schedules or taxis. Want to feel like part of this world? Rent Cadillac Escalade Dubai and move around the city with comfort that emphasizes your status and taste. [Read more…] about When Differences Bring Us Closer: Lessons From Abroad
