Simbe Robotics raises $50 million in Series C funding

Simbe Robotics, a provider of store intelligence solutions, has closed a $50 million Series C equity financing round led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, with participation from Eclipse and Valo Ventures and other existing investors.

Since raising its Series B in July 2023, Simbe has achieved significant momentum and milestones such as introducing multiple capabilities and securing numerous new and expanded partnerships across various retail sectors.

The new capital, which brings the total amount raised by Simbe to over $100 million, will be used to meet surging demand for retail technology across retail verticals, expand into new product areas, and continue scaling its best-in-class solutions to retailers and brands around the world. Carbon Robotics raises $70 million Series D investment round

Carbon Robotics, a developer of AI-powered, autonomous farming vehicles and technology, has raised $70 million in Series D financing.

The financing was led by new investor BOND with participation from existing investors NVentures (Nvidia’s venture capital arm), Anthos Capital, Fuse Venture Capital, Ignition Partners, Revolution, Sozo Ventures, and Voyager Capital.

This round brings total company funding to $157 million. As part of the financing, Mood Rowghani, general partner at BOND, will join Carbon Robotics’ Board of Directors.

Dexory secures $80 million funding to drive global expansion goals

Dexory, the leading robotics and data intelligence company, has successfully closed an $80 million Series B funding round.

The round was led by DTCP, with participation from Latitude Ventures, Wave-X and Bootstrap Europe, along with existing investors Atomico, Lakestar, Capnamic and several angels from the logistics industry. As part of this investment, DTCP’s Michael Rager joins Dexory’s board of directors.

The new funding, made up of a mix of equity and growth debt, will support an expansion of their artificial intelligence (AI) powered features across the DexoryView platform, grow its global team and accelerate the deployment of its autonomous robots with customers like GXO, Maersk, DB Schenker and beyond. Seegrid closes $50 million funding round as market adoption of its autonomous lift truck ‘exceeds expectations’

Seegrid Corporation, a provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for pallet material handling, has successfully closed its $50 million Series D investment round, funded by its existing lead investors Giant Eagle Incorporated and G2 Venture Partners, as well as smaller investments from other existing shareholders.

Seegrid says the new investment allows the company to accelerate its autonomous lift truck market initiatives, which are “currently generating more growth than expected”.

Joe Pajer, Seegrid’s CEO and president, says: “We are thrilled to have secured this additional funding from our investors. It enables us to drive our innovative AMR technology and solutions into the market faster, delivering even more value to our customers sooner.

Standard Bots secures $63 million in funding

Standard Bots has raised $63 million in total funding, with its recent Series B round led by General Catalyst with participation from Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund and Samsung Next.

The company has already successfully launched its RO1 robotic arm and is now preparing to bring its new AI-powered robots to market, unlocking use cases and industries untouched by traditional robotics, such as complex assembly, food preparation, or dishwashing.

Standard Bots designs and assembles collaborative robotic arms in the United States to transform industrial sectors such as manufacturing. Formic raises $27.4 million to ‘bring automation to more manufacturers’

Formic, a provider of Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) automation for US manufacturers, has raised another $27.4 million in Series A financing led by Blackhorn Ventures with participation from Mitsubishi HC Capital America, NEC, Translink Capital, Alumni Ventures, FJ Labs, Lux Capital, Initialized Capital and Lorimer Ventures.

This new funding brings the total Series A round to more than $52 million since January 2022.

GrayMatter Robotics raises $45 million in Series B funding

GrayMatter Robotics, an AI-powered robotics developer that claims to provide systems that offer “instant return on investment”, has raised $45 million in Series B funding.

Wellington Management led the round, which also included NGP Capital, Euclidean Capital, Advance Venture Partners, SQN Venture Partners, and other existing investors 3M Ventures, B Capital, Bow Capital, Calibrate Ventures, OCA Ventures, and Swift Ventures.

The $2.5 trillion US manufacturing industry is grappling with a growing backlog of unfilled orders due to a severe labor shortage. Collaborative Robotics raises $100 million in Series B funding

Collaborative Robotics, (or Cobot), a leader in the development of practical collaborative robots (cobots), today announced it has raised $100 million in Series B funding led by General Catalyst and joined by Bison Ventures, Industry Ventures and Lux Capital.

Existing investors Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, Mayo Clinic, Neo, 1984 Ventures, MVP Ventures and Calibrate Ventures participated as well, bringing the total funding raised to over $140 million in less than two years.

Nauticus Robotics raises $12 million in new investment

Nauticus Robotics, a developer of subsea robots and software, has raised an additional $12 million as part of a second tranche of investment.

The new investment will expedite certification of Nauticus’ flagship robot, the Aquanaut, which facilitates the transformation of tethered ROV (remotely operated vehicle) operations to fully autonomous operations.

It is expected to perform numerous tasks in water depths ranging from 200 to 2,000+ meters during February in preparation for an inaugural job inspecting a deep-water production facility of a major oil and gas company in the Gulf of Mexico.
