Amazon takes ‘major step’ toward zero-touch manufacturing facilities with Nvidia AI

August 19, 2025 by Mai Tao

Amazon, arguably the world’s largest user of robotics technologies, is said to be “powering big leaps” in zero-touch manufacturing with a new physical AI software solutions and digital twin technologies from Nvidia.

Deployed this month at an unnamed Amazon Devices & Services facility, the company’s innovative, simulation-first approach for zero-touch manufacturing trains robotic arms to inspect diverse devices for product-quality auditing and integrate new goods into the production line – all based on synthetic data, without requiring hardware changes.

This new technology brings together Amazon Devices-created software that simulates processes on the assembly line with products in Nvidia-powered digital twins. Using a modular, AI-powered workflow, the technology offers faster, more efficient inspections compared with the previously used audit machinery. Addverb ‘reinvents’ its factory automation development with Siemens Xcelerator

August 5, 2025 by David Edwards

Addverb Technologies, an Indian warehouse automation company, is using software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to “deliver intelligent automation solutions faster and more efficiently while maintaining high product quality and scale its automation offerings across diverse industries globally”.

Addverb has adopted Siemens’ Teamcenter software for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to streamline product development, ensure data consistency, and enhance cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Additionally, Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software from Siemens enables Addverb to virtually design, validate, and optimize entire production systems and logistics processes before building any physical hardware. Flexiv and Nvidia bridge the sim-to-real gap in adaptive robotics

June 16, 2025 by Sam Francis

Flexiv, a developer of general-purpose robotics solutions, has released the Flexiv-Isaac Bridge App, bringing high-fidelity force-control simulation to Nvidia’s Isaac Sim.  (See video below.)

This partnership enables robotics developers and end-users to program, model, test, and deploy complex force-controlled, AI-empowered robotics applications in simulated environments that closely mimic contact-rich real-world conditions.

To highlight this new capability, Flexiv’s engineering team released a video in which a simulated Rizon 4 robot completed the classic Tower of Hanoi puzzle in Isaac Sim. [Read more…] about Flexiv and Nvidia bridge the sim-to-real gap in adaptive robotics
