Ambi Robotics expands partnership with Pitney Bowes to automate middle-mile sorting

Ambi Robotics, a provider of AI-powered robotic sorting solutions for supply chain operations, and Pitney Bowes, a global shipping and mailing company, say they have successfully implemented the new AmbiSort B-Series modular parcel induction and sorting solution for middle-mile operations.

This collaboration between two industry leaders advances ecommerce and logistics operations through cutting-edge automation and emerging technologies.

Following the deployment of the AmbiSort A-Series small parcel sortation systems for last-mile operations, Pitney Bowes and Ambi Robotics partnered to develop and deploy the AmbiSort B-Series solution in Pitney Bowes ecommerce hubs across the US. Clevon celebrates delivery of ‘nearly 1,500 DHL Express packages’

Clevon, an autonomous delivery innovator, says it has delivered almost 1,500 packages for DHL Express Estonia. The two companies began their partnership in the summer of 2022 and are moving towards expanding their collaboration.

The pilot project has gradually grown into an everyday service, and now Clevon’s Autonomous Robot Carrier (ARC) is a part of DHL Express Estonia’s vehicle fleet.

In the project’s first stage, the carrier transported DHL Express internal packages between three offices in the Capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Boxbot raises $12 million in Series A financing round

Boxbot, the vertical automation solution that sorts and stores packages for last-mile carriers, says it has raised $12 million in its Series A funding round, led by Playground Global.

Maersk Growth (the venture arm of A.P. Moller), Toyota Ventures, Pear Ventures, and Artiman Ventures also participated in the round, which brings the company’s total funding to $29.5 million.

Starship Technologies now offering autonomous robot delivery on 50 US college campuses

Starship Technologies, which claims to be the world’s leading provider of autonomous delivery services, says it is now offering its service to 50 college campuses across the US.

This includes several new schools launching services, including Wichita State University, Boise State University and The University of New Orleans.

Starship’s fleet of more than 2,000 robots provides deliveries in half of the US states as well as locations around the globe and more than 1.1 million students in the US have access to the service. Serve Robotics raises $30 million financing to scale robotic delivery

Serve Robotics, a developer of autonomous sidewalk delivery robots, has raised another $30 million in financing, bringing the company’s total funds raised to over $56 million.

Concurrent with the raise of new capital and conversion of existing convertible notes, Serve also completed a reverse merger with Patricia Acquisition, a public Delaware corporation, whereby Serve became a wholly owned subsidiary of Patricia.

Clevon becomes ‘first company in Europe’ to launch fleet of autonomous driverless ‘carriers’ on public roads

Clevon, an driverless delivery innovator, and large Lithuanian grocery chain IKI are bringing what they claim is Europe’s first fleet of Autonomous Robot Carriers (ARCs) onto public roads.

Three driverless carriers will offer daily commercial delivery services in the busy Vilnius city centre area and be operated by the last-mile transportation platform LastMile.

Orders will be collected at the IKI store on Mindaugas Street and delivered for free directly to customers’ homes in the city centre area. ARCs deliver the goods and have lockable compartments of different sizes, suitable for smaller and larger online grocery orders. Delivery robots company Starship Technologies and mobility app Bolt form new partnership

Starship Technologies, a provider of autonomous delivery services, has agreed a new partnership with Bolt, the first European mobility “super-app”, as the two companies call it.

As the initial first step of the evolving collaboration, Bolt and Starship have signed a commercial partnership opening the door to thousands of robots doing Bolt Food deliveries across multiple countries, starting this year.

This announcement coincides with Starship celebrating another industry first milestone, having become the first company offering autonomous delivery to complete 5 million commercial deliveries around the world. South Korean robot maker takes part in supermassive Saudi development Neom

Neubility, a South Korean developer of indoor-outdoor autonomous mobile robots, says it will take part in Oxagon X McLaren Accelerator, a global program co-hosted by Oxagon, a futuristic eco-friendly industrial complex in Neom, a massive futuristic property development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and UK supercar maker McLaren.

Neubility qualifies for the program due to its high level of competitiveness in smart locker and last mile delivery among key areas promoted by Oxagon including autonomous mobility and logistics automation.

Selected businesses will be given various benefits including financial aid, networking with global enterprises, presentations, business workshops and mentoring services at McLaren, and pilot tests in Oxagon, the industrial hub of Neom.
