Atoun Inc. is beginning a work-site trial of Powered Wear with arm support function at the end of May, 2019.
The prototype to be tested is the Powered Wear “Atoun Model Y” for the waist-attached arms support part.
By adding the arms support function to the previous waist support function, work efficiency increases up to 37.7% compared to when Powered Wear is not used.

Traditional industrial robots tend to be very large and potentially dangerous, which is why they tend to be caged off and kept separate from human workers.
But a new company called Veo Robotics says it has the technology to transform traditional industrial robotic arms into safe machines that humans can work alongside, within close proximity.
Veo’s solution could make every industrial robot a collaborative robot. Universal Robots says Nissan has simplified processes, reduced relief worker costs and stabilised production output through deployment of the company’s UR10 cobots
Universal Robots says the Nissan Motor Company has successfully deployed Universal Robots’ UR10 robot arms at its Yokohama factory.
The automaker joins other global automotive manufacturers including BMW and Volkswagen who are using Universal Robots’ collaborative robots (cobots) to automate their processes.
Universal Robots says that through the deployment of its cobots, Nissan has enhanced its production processes, resulting in a higher level of output and stability as well as time and cost efficiencies. Universal Robots’ lightweight collaborative robot arms can now be implemented in controlled environments, says the company
Universal Robots says it collaborative robots have been awarded a certification which officially allows them to be used in cleanroom applications.
After successful tests in accordance with VDI 2083 Part 9.1, the international industrial guideline concerning the various functions and measures of cleanroom technologies, the robot arms and the accompanying controller boxes made by the Danish pioneer in human-robot collaboration have been awarded the certification for cleanroom applications by the international certification organization TÜV SÜD.

Servosila, a robotics technology company, has launched a new line of robotic arm manipulators specifically targeted at mobile robotics market.
Gary Silver, chief marketing officer for Servosila, says: “Servosila robotic arms are the first manipulators specifically designed for mobile robots. It is very easy to retrofit any existing robotic chassis or a torso with a Servosila robotic arm.”
Servosila robotic arms are attachable payload modules for mobile service robots or other robotic platforms.
