Align Production Systems partners with Kollmorgen to advance AGV technology

Align Production Systems, a material handling solutions provider, has agreed a strategic partnership with Kollmorgen, a well known motion control specialist, to innovate automated guided vehicles technology.

This collaboration is set to “revolutionize the manufacturing AGV landscape, to provide efficiency, reliability, and versatility across various industries”, say the companies.

The collaboration of Align Production Systems’ expertise in designing world-class automated guided vehicle systems with Kollmorgen’s automation control platform NDC Solutions, will foster the next generation of AGV vehicle technology. Kivnon partners with TAP for warehouse robot distribution

Kivnon, a producer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), has announced that TAP Group, a provider of industrial solutions, will be distributing Kivnon AGVs and AMRs.

Kivnon designs, manufactures, and implements automated guided vehicles (AGVs/AMRs) for a wide range of markets, including automotive, food, aerospace, and retail applications.

Hesai Technology to provide lidar for planned Cratus warehouse robots

Hesai Technology, a provider of lidar solutions, and Cratus, a software solution integrator for lidar systems, have agreed a strategic alliance to develop autonomous warehouse solutions using Hesai’s “groundbreaking safety-rated” 3D lidar, the QT128.

Cratus has selected the QT128 as the lead sensor in its all-new lidar perception package for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

Tackling the lack of specialists with innovative robotics solutions

Boring, strenuous, and exhausting are things of the past. The work environment of tomorrow looks different: exciting, simple, and easy. Cobots, AGVs (Autonomous Guided Vehicles), and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) put variety into daily work routines.

Kivnon to launch new version of its forklift AGV at Advanced Factories Expo

Kivnon will launch one of the latest additions to its AGV portfolio, the K55 Pallet Stacker, at this year’s Advanced Factories Expo, which runs from 18-20th April in Barcelona. 

Kivon’s range of AGVs is renowned for robustness, safety, and accuracy, and this new addition to the portfolio provides customers with a vehicle that can automatically transport stack pallets.

Thierry Delmas, managing director at Kivnon, says: “The K55 is an ideal solution for end-of-line palletizing, food and beverage, and retail applications. Rocla launches new automated compact truck for warehouses and loading docks

A Finland-based company called Rocla AGV has launched a new, agile AGV – named “ACT”, short for automated compact truck – designed to lift heavy loads in narrow spaces.

Kollmorgen Automation partners with Spanish Association of Mobile Robotics

BlueBotics has been around for 20 years. And in that time, it has become one of the leading providers of navigation technology for warehouse robots such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots. In doing so, the company has become something of a fount of knowledge about the subject, and thought it would provide that knowledge as an online resource through its newly created website ANTdriven.com.

Worldwide installations of automated guided vehicles at seaports to exceed 150,000

Seaports globally have increased their automation solutions or kickstarted automation initiatives to mitigate port congestion.

Equipment like gantries, automated port gates, stacking cranes, and horizontal transport solutions, such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that transport containers and loads to and from ships, have been the most productivity-enhancing solutions in seaports.

According to ABI Research, a global technology intelligence firm, worldwide AGV deployments in seaports will have a compound annual growth rate of over 26 percent from 2022 to 2027 and exceed 150,000 global deployments by 2027.
