Kodiak Robotics and US Xpress to pilot new autonomous truck route

Kodiak Robotics, a developer of self-driving trucks, has teamed up with US Xpress, one of America’s largest carrier fleets, to launch Level 4 autonomous freight service between Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta using Kodiak’s self-driving trucks.

US Xpress will become the first cornerstone truckload partner in Kodiak’s Partner Deployment Program, working hand-in-hand with Kodiak to deploy self-driving technology.

Miso Robotics opens Series E funding round after already raising $50 million

Miso Robotics, the robotics company specialising in the restaurant industry with, is opening its Series E funding round after raising more than $50 million through equity crowdfunding in its Series C and D.

The company is aiming to raise $40 million this round and plans to use the new capital to more rapidly satisfy the product demand it is facing in the marketplace, as well as grow its workforce, which has more than tripled in size in the past year.

PickNik Robotics partners with Sierra Space to build robots for deep space missions and space habitats

PickNik Robotics and Sierra Space have agreed a collaboration which will explore the implementation of robotic autonomy and controllability for autonomous maintenance of space habitat environments.

PickNik Robotics is a robotics software and engineering services company, while Sierra Space is a commercial space company with 1,100 employees, more than 500 missions and over 30 years of space flight heritage.

The companies anticipate that the robotic autonomy solutions developed with this collaboration will significantly improve the ability to support low Earth orbit (LEO), lunar and deep space missions.
