Pudu Robotics has launched its latest autonomous cleaning machine, the CC1 Pro, designed to serve large-scale commercial facilities such as retail centers, hospitals, airports, and industrial warehouses.

The new model builds on the company’s earlier CC1 unit, expanding its cleaning range and incorporating more advanced AI-driven features.

Donatos Pizza to open fully autonomous restaurant in partnership with Appetronix

Donatos Pizza, the premium pizza company famous for its edge to edge toppings, is opening its first fully autonomous pizza restaurant in June. 

Donatos and its sister company Agápe Automation partnered with Appetronix to bring the robot operated restaurant to life.

The new fully automated restaurant will debut before security in front of Concourse B at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport and will be operated by restaurateur HMS Host. NorDan becomes first timber products manufacturer to monitor tree health

NorDan, one of Europe’s leading timber composite window and door manufacturers, has become the first manufacturer in its sector to actively measure and monitor the health of the forests from which it sources its timber.

NorDan invited independent consultants Fortis Facades to analyse the Polish forests that are a vital part of its supply chain, checking important factors such as tree health, density and chronology of the trees, as well as the quality and yield of timber.

Humanoid robot combat tournament broadcast live on Chinese national TV

Organizers say the event kicks off a ‘new era in humanoid robot combat sports’

On May 25, 2025, at 8.30pm, the Unitree-sponsored CMG World Robot Tournament – Mecha Combat Arena, co-hosted by CMG’s Education & Science Channel, Zhejiang Station, and CMG’s Technology Bureau, was officially launched in Hangzhou. (See video below for extended highlights.)

As the world’s first combat competition exclusively featuring humanoid robots, the tournament showcased Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot as the sole competing model.

Libiao Robotics opens overseas headquarters in Singapore

Libiao Robotics, a provider of automated warehouse storage systems and robotics, has opened a new office in Singapore. The Singapore facility will henceforth act as headquarters for its overseas (that is, non-China) business.

The new office is situated in Perennial Business City in Jurong Lake District, the largest commercial district outside of Singapore’s city centre and dubbed “Singapore’s next central business district”.
