MassRobotics, AWS, and Nvidia launch second cohort of physical AI fellowship

MassRobotics, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Nvidia have announced the second cohort of the Physical AI Fellowship, a program designed to support robotics startups developing artificial intelligence systems for real-world machines.

The virtual program provides technical guidance, computing resources, and access to a global robotics ecosystem to help startups develop and scale “physical AI” technologies. The initiative builds on the inaugural fellowship cohort launched in late 2025.

The 2026 cohort includes nine startups working across sectors such as agriculture, construction, renewable energy, industrial automation, logistics, teleoperation, robotics data infrastructure, and humanoid robotics. Exotec and Komar launch ‘next-generation’ automated fulfilment centre in Savannah

Exotec, a global warehouse robotics company, has announced a major automation deployment with Komar Distribution Services (KDS), a third-party logistics provider.

KDS is set to equip its 760,000 square-foot facility in Savannah, Georgia with Exotec’s Skypod robotic system and a fully integrated end-to-end automation solution.

The site is designed to support significant projected growth in D2C volume across apparel, home goods, and consumer products brands, including Komar-owned labels such as Cuddl Duds and Le Mystère, alongside 3PL clients. Ambi Robotics launches AmbiVision AI system to read labels and identify items in automated warehouses

Ambi Robotics, a provider of AI-powered robotics for commercial operations, has introduced AmbiVision, an AI-powered item intelligence and perception software application designed to automate complex item identification, tracking, and Cognitive optical character recognition (OCR) to support reliable downstream automation in logistics and distribution operations.

AmbiVision expands Ambi’s AI Skill Suite capabilities under AmbiOS with visual intelligence built for high-speed real-world operations.

AmbiVision is available as a software application within AI Skill Suite, powered by AmbiOS. Serve Robotics and White Castle launch autonomous delivery via Uber Eats

Serve Robotics, an autonomous delivery robot provider, and White Castle, which claims to be “America’s first fast-food hamburger chain”, have agreed a partnership to deliver the restaurant’s “Sliders” and “Crave-worthy” menu items via Serve’s autonomous delivery robots on Uber Eats.

Customers ordering White Castle in Serve’s delivery zone may now have their meals arrive in one of Serve’s autonomous sidewalk robots.

The partnership further expands Serve’s presence on the Uber Eats platform, which already offers Serve’s robotic deliveries in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta (including Buckhead), Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, and Alexandria, Virginia, with additional US cities coming soon. Aerowash selected by IAG to supply aircraft washing robots to British Airways at Heathrow

Aerowash has received a positive award notice from International Airlines Group (IAG) following a competitive tender process. The contract covers the supply of aircraft washing robots for British Airways’ operations at London Heathrow Airport.

The next step is to finalize and sign a delivery agreement, which is expected within approximately three weeks. The deal includes several washing robots and is planned to be implemented through a multi-year leasing arrangement.

Rhoda AI launches with $450 million Series A to ‘bring robots out of the lab and Into the real world’

Rhoda AI has announced its public launch after 18 months in stealth, unveiling FutureVision, a new approach to robotic intelligence based on video-predictive control and designed to operate beyond controlled laboratory demonstrations and into real-world environments.

The company also announced it has raised $450 million in Series A funding to accelerate development and industrial deployment.

Traditional industrial robots perform well in structured environments but remain largely limited to pre-programmed trajectories. ISA releases new standard for SCADA systems

The ISA-112 Part 1 standard provides a framework for modernizing supervisory control and data acquisition systems and making them easier to design, build, operate and maintain

The International Society of Automation (ISA) – the professional society for automation – has announced the publication of ANSI/ISA-112.00.01-2025, SCADA Systems – Part 1: SCADA Lifecycle, Diagrams and Terminology, which is now available for sale on www.isa.org and is accessible to ISA members as a membership benefit.

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) is an automated control system architecture commonly implemented in industrial, utility and manufacturing environments.

The ISA-112 Part 1 standard provides a vendor-neutral and technology-independent framework for the long-term management of SCADA systems and execution of SCADA modernization projects, offering a high-level overview of the SCADA lifecycle as well as diagrams and terminology. SS Innovations completes $18.6 million private placement to support growth initiatives

SS Innovations International, a developer of innovative surgical robotic technologies, has completed a private placement of its common stock which generated approximately $18.6 million in gross proceeds, before deducting offering expenses.

In the offering, the company offered and sold a total of 5,774,839 shares of common stock consisting of:

  • an aggregate of 1,300,006 shares of common stock at an average price of $4 per share, or a total of approximately $5.2 million, to Dr Sudhir Srivastava, chairman and CEO ($2 million), Dr Frederic H. Moll, vice-chairman ($2 million), and Tim Adams, a director ($1.197 million); and
  • an aggregate of 4,474,833 shares of common stock at $3 per share, or a total of approximately $13.4 million, to existing and new investors, led by Manipal Global Health Services, an existing shareholder.

Hai Robotics has unveiled an upgraded version of its HaiPick Climb automated storage and picking system, enhancing throughput performance, storage density, and workflow flexibility while maintaining the simplicity and reliability of its proven system architecture.

Built on the existing HaiPick Climb platform, the upgrade reflects real-world feedback from customers and partners and addresses evolving operational demands across warehouse environments.

Arvato accelerates robotics implementation through strategic partnership with Unchained Robotics

Third-party logistics service provider Arvato says it is taking the next step to bring automation and robotics into operational use faster and more effectively.

Through a strategic partnership with technology company Unchained Robotics, Arvato is accelerating the development and implementation of modular, vendor-independent robotics solutions for logistics and fulfillment processes. As part of the collaboration, Arvato has acquired a minority stake in the Paderborn-based German company.

Robotics is deliberately viewed not as an isolated technology, but as an integral part of holistic automation and scaling concepts.
