Fuzzy Logic Robotics unveils new robot simulation software

Fuzzy Logic Robotics has launched its “no-code industrial robot programming and simulation software”, Fuzzy Studio, on its website.

Fuzzy Studio allows non-experts in robotics to create virtual cells and control industrial robots, enabling them to robotize their production at an affordable price and lower risk, even in situations that were once considered impossible, such as for small batches or complex parts.

Agtonomy selects Fixposition for farm vehicle GPS

Agtonomy’s TeleFarmer solution is comprised of innovative software, a suite of apps, and an electric vehicle reference tractor.

Zorabots partners with QSS to showcase humanoid robot and plans to establish robotics joint venture in Saudi Arabia

Robotics and software company Zorabots have started talks to create joint venture with Saudi tech company QSS. The news comes after the two companies jointly presented what is believed to be Saudia Arabia’s first domestically created humanoid robot, called “Sara” (main picture and below).

Sara is being presented at the renowned tech event LEAP, being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the sophisticated humanoid has been declared by relevant authorities as a “Saudi tech jewel”.

The robot was developed by tech company QSS with the support of Zorabots. Due to the “overwhelming success” of Sara, Zorabots and QSS signed an agreement for further cooperation. Warehouse robot maker Seegrid partners with Koops Automation Systems

Carbon Robotics adds LaserThinning capability to its LaserWeeder

Carbon Robotics, an AI and robotics company specializing in agriculture, has introduced what it says is “the industry’s first LaserThinning capability”, continuing the “rapid innovation” of its LaserWeeder system.

LaserThinning targets areas where vegetable crops are purposefully overseeded and then thinned for optimal crop spacing, growth and yield. This is particularly valuable for farmers growing any direct seeded leafy green and cole crops – such as lettuce and broccoli.

Merger of Velodyne and Ouster creates $550 million lidar giant

Velodyne and Ouster have merged to create what could be described as a “lidar giant” at a time when interest in lidar – light detection and ranging – sensors are at an all-time high because of their applications in so many robotic and automated machines. 

Ouster and Velodyne describe their successful deal as a “merger of equals”. The combined company will keep the name Ouster and continue to trade on New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “OUST”. The two companies have a combined market capitalization of more than $550 million.

The merger creates a lidar powerhouse with over 850 customers spanning the automotive, industrial, robotics, and smart infrastructure industries supported by a robust product portfolio of innovative hardware and software solutions in addition to top-tier engineering and commercial teams. Swisslog delivers third AutoStore for Neoperl in China
