Siemens launches new version of Simcenter 3D

Siemens Digital Industries Software announces the availability of the latest release of Simcenter 3D software, part of the Simcenter portfolio of simulation and test solutions.

Simcenter 3D and the Simcenter portfolio are part of the Xcelerator portfolio, Siemens’ integrated portfolio of software, services and application development platform.

In the 2021 release, Simcenter 3D continues to further improve its powerful unified and shared engineering platform for all simulation disciplines to help users gain full value of the benefits that simulation provides in terms of cost, speed and impact to innovation. Siemens provides electric charging points for bus depot in Hamburg

Siemens Smart Infrastructure won a major contract from Hamburger Hochbahn, the largest local transport provider in the Hanseatic city.

Siemens will equip two of the six carports at the Alsterdorf bus depot with a total of 96 charging points as well as medium and low-voltage technology. Operations are scheduled to start in summer 2021.

Rethink Robotics establishes new company headquarters and Siemens Technology Accelerator as a shareholder

At its new Bochum, Germany headquarters, Rethink Robotics will develop new robotics technologies with the support of Siemens Corporate Technology, creating highly jobs for skilled professionals.

During the summer of 2020, Rethink Robotics, as a subsidiary of the HAHN Group, moved into new company headquarters, where the production of collaborative robot systems takes place. The location has been officially inaugurated in the presence of Bochum’s Lord Mayor Thomas Eiskirch and Bernd Tönjes, CEO of the RAG-Stiftung, a majority stakeholder in the HAHN Group through its holding company RSBG SE.

The premises are part of the new HAHN Group Technology Center, a meeting point for customers and partners to experience and further develop innovative technologies. In the immediate vicinity of universities and research institutions, this creates a central place for the exchange of information, skills and technological developments. The building itself was constructed by sister companies of the HAHN Group within the RAG-Stiftung, accounting for the short-term space requirements and promoting further growth. Siemens opens beta testing for forthcoming launch of NX

Siemens has opened beta testing of its next update of NX, the engineering giant’s computer-aided design software.

The NX application is part of Siemens product lifecycle management (PLM) software unit, and can also be used for computer-aided manufacturing and computer-aided engineering.

Siemens designs robotic system for cosmetics manufacturing industry

Engineering giant Siemens has developed a robotic system for the cosmetics industry. 

The system has been named “the Hyve” and is described as an autonomous, modular robot platform.

Siemens launches latest version of 3D design software Solid Edge

Siemens Digital Industries Software has launched the 2021 version of Solid Edge 3D CAD modelling application. 

Europe’s largest engineering company says Solid Edge 2021 includes design capability enhancements such as new subdivision modeling and improved reverse engineering performance with new deviation analysis.

Solid Edge 2021 also includes a new artificial intelligence-powered adaptive user interface to predict next steps, and seamless integration with 3dfind.it, an intelligent 3D model search engine powered by CADENAS, a virtual library of 3D parts.
