PlusAI unveils new autonomous trucking software with night driving and construction zone capabilities

March 6, 2026 by David Edwards

PlusAI has released SuperDrive 6.0, the latest version of its autonomous driving software engineered for commercial-scale deployment. The new release introduces crucial capabilities for commercial freight operations including night driving and construction zone handling.

By boosting the speed of its AI model training by 10X, SuperDrive 6.0 also enables rapid feature deployment and validation. Built on over 7 million miles of real-world driving across the US, Europe, and Asia, SuperDrive 6.0 is a major advancement that moves the company closer to scalable fully driverless commercial deployment targeted for 2027 with factory built trucks.

This announcement comes as PlusAI plans to become publicly listed via a business combination with Churchill Capital Corp IX. [Read more…] about PlusAI unveils new autonomous trucking software with night driving and construction zone capabilities

T2 and PlusAI partner to accelerate rollout of Level 4 autonomous trucks in Japan

January 31, 2026 by Sam Francis

PlusAI and Tokyo-based T2 have agreed a strategic partnership to bring Level 4 autonomous trucks to Japan. The move comes as PlusAI is also planning to become publicly listed via a business combination with Churchill Capital Corp IX.

The collaboration combines T2’s deep penetration on technology design and logistics operation in Japan with PlusAI’s proven experience in commercial deployment of autonomous trucks with global truck makers Traton Group, Iveco Group, and Hyundai in the US and Europe.

By combining these complementary strengths, the companies will work toward introducing Level 4 autonomous trucking solutions tailored to Japan’s needs. [Read more…] about T2 and PlusAI partner to accelerate rollout of Level 4 autonomous trucks in Japan

PlusAI moves closer to public listing as autonomous truck merger clears key regulatory step

January 30, 2026 by Sam Francis

Autonomous trucking software company Plus Automation has moved a step closer to becoming a publicly listed company after US regulators approved a key filing linked to its proposed merger with a special purpose acquisition company.

PlusAI said its registration statement connected to the planned business combination with Churchill Capital Corp IX was declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 12, 2026.

The approval clears the way for Churchill Capital Corp IX to hold a shareholder vote on the deal. The company has scheduled an extraordinary general meeting for February 3, 2026, where investors will be asked to approve the merger and related matters. PlusAI targets 2027 launch for factory-built autonomous trucks as readiness metrics advance

January 9, 2026 by Sam Francis

PlusAI says it is on track to launch factory-built commercial autonomous trucks in 2027, as the company reported progress across a set of internal readiness metrics tied to safety validation and operational performance.

In an update issued January 8, PlusAI said its Safety Case Readiness (SCR) reached 90.1 percent through the second half of 2025, while Autonomous Miles Percentage (AMP) rose to 99.2 percent and Remote Assistance Free Trips (RAFT) increased to 79.0 percent. The company said these figures represent steady improvement compared with metrics disclosed in mid-2025.

“This progress comes as PlusAI works towards its targeted commercial launch in 2027,” the company said in a press release, adding that it is also planning to become publicly listed via a business combination with Churchill Capital Corp IX. Luxembourg positions itself as European hub for autonomous trucking

December 20, 2025 by David Edwards

The tiny state of Luxembourg – population, fewer than 700,000 – is positioning itself as a potential European hub for autonomous freight transport, as governments on both sides of the Atlantic move to create clearer regulatory and policy frameworks for self-driving trucks.

The latest signal came during a recent visit by Xavier Bettel, Luxembourg’s deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs and trade, to the global headquarters of PlusAI in Santa Clara, California. Bettel was joined by Lex Delles, Luxembourg’s minister of the economy, SME, energy and tourism, in meetings with PlusAI’s executive team.

The visit reflects growing interest from Luxembourg’s government in autonomous trucking as a strategic enabler for the future of European logistics, rather than a symbolic picture opportunity. Autonomous freight transport is increasingly viewed as a way to address capacity constraints, efficiency pressures and sustainability goals across long-haul and cross-border supply chains. Red Bull mountain biker jumps through two PlusAI-powered autonomous Scania trucks in less than a second

November 20, 2025 by David Edwards

Scania says its autonomous trucks, with their cutting-edge AI-based technology, are going to “change how the world moves within the near future”.

Now, the company has announced the successful completion of a groundbreaking challenge that redefines the boundaries of self-driving vehicle technology and human achievement.

The challenge involved two autonomous trucks moving towards each other in perfect sync to create a window of less than a second for a professional mountain biker to jump through the opening in between them. International Motors launches autonomous fleet trials in partnership with PlusAI

October 6, 2025 by David Edwards

International Motors has launched customer fleet trials using second-generation autonomous vehicles, marking a significant step forward in the company’s autonomous program.

In partnership with PlusAI, International will start piloting its autonomous on-highway “tractor” – by which, we believe, it means “truck” (because that’s what the picture shows) – along the Interstate-35 corridor between Laredo and Dallas with select fleet operators.

The fleet trials will be managed from International’s autonomous hub in San Antonio, ensuring close collaboration with customers and a deeper understanding of real-world applications. [Read more…] about International Motors launches autonomous fleet trials in partnership with PlusAI
