How to Best Optimize your Business Operations through Asset Management Software

February 19, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Assets, both tangible and intangible, are a major and valuable investment in your business. Asset management software provides you with a centralized platform that enables smooth asset tracking and allows you to have greater visibility of your assets. This helps improve asset management processes like maintenance, tracking, cost optimization, and more.

With a holistic view of your assets and associated costs, you can make wiser decisions pertaining to procurement and management. You can also better manage your assets by taking several actions, as simple as checking asset management metrics in a faster and more convenient way.

MarketsandMarkets reports that the asset management software market is likely to hit $4.8 billion by 2026. Some reasons for this are being compliant with regulations, optimization of asset purchase, maintenance, and deployment – the core driving factors of asset management software. Aerones demonstrates ‘first’ robot for wind turbine maintenance and repair

January 30, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Aerones has demonstrated for what it claims is the “first robot that offers full-service leading edge wind turbine blade maintenance and repair”.

The robot performs maintenance 5x faster than humans, and makes use of various attachments to perform different tasks, including refinishing blades with RELEST coatings from AkzoNobel.

The robot is able to perform maintenance and repair for Level 1-3 Leading Edge Erosion (LEE), proactively addressing erosion in a cost-effective manner and halting progression to Level 4-5 erosion. [Read more…] about Aerones demonstrates ‘first’ robot for wind turbine maintenance and repair

Kodiak Robotics releases new tech to simplify autonomous truck maintenance

June 12, 2022 by Mark Allinson

Kodiak Robotics, a self-driving trucking company, has demonstrated how its proprietary SensorPod hardware “simplifies autonomous truck maintenance and increases truck utilization” by eliminating the need for a specialized technician to replace autonomous vehicle sensors.

As part of a technical partnership with Southern Tire Mart/Southern Tire Mart at Pilot, Kodiak has demonstrated that its pre-calibrated, pre-built SensorPods, which replace the truck’s stock side-view mirrors, can be completely removed and replaced by a mechanic without specialized training.

Servicing and maintaining most autonomous truck sensor systems requires significant time and specialized training, which complicates repairs since long-haul trucks can travel thousands of miles per trip and may need service in remote locations.
