Lenovo has introduced three new retail solutions that combine the best of robotics and artificial intelligence technologies. Premiering at NRF 2025 in New York City, each solution has been field-tested and proven in commercial settings.

Lenovo Retail Content Management Services enables retailers to create, schedule and display digital content across screens store-wide, streamlining multimedia content management and enabling real-time updates and targeted messaging to drive awareness, interest and incremental sales.

Lenovo unveils foldable tablet computer

Lenovo has unveiled a foldable tablet computer, the likes of which have so far only been seen in science fiction.

Lenovo says its next-generation ThinkPad X1 Fold “redefines the foldable PC category” that the company claims to have created in 2020.

Chalmers University selects Lenovo and Nvidia to build Swedish national supercomputer

Chalmers University of Technology is using Lenovo and Nvidia’s technology infrastructure to power its large-scale computer resource, or supercomputer, Alvis.

The project has seen the delivery and implementation of a clustered computing system for artificial intelligence and machine learning research, in what is Lenovo’s largest high-performance computing cluster for AI and ML in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Lenovo opens first European manufacturing facility in Hungary

Computer giant Lenovo has officially opened the doors to its first in-house manufacturing facility in Europe.

Based in Ullo, Hungary, the factory focuses primarily on building server infrastructure, storage systems and high-end PC workstations used by customers throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.

Extending Lenovo’s international manufacturing operations, the investment represents significant economic potential for both the private and public sectors in Hungary, with increased production capacity, greater potential for collaboration with local vendors, and the creation of new job openings. The technology giant says its ThinkReality A3 smart glasses can enhance productivity for the office professional and industrial worker in small business or global enterprise, and “everywhere in-between”.

Lenovo enables space architects testing lunar housing in Greenland

Two young Danish architects will travel to a deserted and remote area in Greenland to test an intelligent lunar home that they themselves designed and built, relying on Lenovo technology for survival and data collection.

The goal is to get one step closer to the dream of inhabiting the moon.

Lenovo and Schneider Electric partner to develop ‘smart green manufacturing’ in China

Lenovo and Schneider Electric agreed a strategic partnership that will see the two companies working together on smart green manufacturing solutions for the flourishing Chinese manufacturing sector.

The partnership was unveiled at Lenovo Tech World, the company’s annual innovation summit, with Lenovo chairman and CEO, Yuanqing Yang and Schneider Electric chairman and CEO, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, there to shake hands on the deal.

China’s largest food delivery company to test robots

China’s largest food delivery company is to test robots, according to a report on Abacus News. 

Meituan employs more than 600,000 delivery drivers across China, and deals with more than 25 million orders a day.

Lenovo showcases ‘world’s first’ laptop with foldable screen

Computer manufacturer Lenovo is showcasing a preview model of what it claims is “the world’s first foldable” personal computer. In other words, it’s a laptop with a foldable screen.

Unveiled within days of Samsung announcing a recall of its Galaxy Fold smartphone because of technical problems, the new foldable laptop will be part of Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 range.

Lenovo says the “unprecedented portability” of the folding laptop will not compromise productivity and reliability.
