Foundry Robotics raises $100 million to build ‘America’s first autonomous factory for assembly’

Foundry Robotics has announced its oversubscribed $100 million Series A funding round led by Marlinspike Partners.

Participating in the round are early backers Khosla Ventures and Red Glass Ventures, and new investors SE Ventures, Wing VC, and Axiom Ventures, as well as existing investors Hanabi and Zero Shot Fund.

Monumental raises $32 million to expand autonomous construction robots

Monumental, the Amsterdam-based tech company automating construction with robotics and software, has announced a $32 million Series B led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from existing investors Plural and Hummingbird.

The funding will grow Monumental’s world-class team of hardware and software engineers, scale the number of robots it can deploy across Europe and the UK, deepen its UK presence, expand the range of construction tasks the robots can handle, and fund its expansion into the US.

Britain does not have the people it needs to build. To hit the government’s target of 1.5 million new homes, the Home Builders Federation estimates the country needs at least 20,000 more bricklayers, yet only around 1,990 completed apprenticeships in 2024. Genesis AI raises $105 million to build ‘universal’ robotics foundation model

Genesis AI, a global physical AI research lab and full-stack robotics company, emerged from stealth today with a mission to unlock unlimited physical labor.

The company is building a universal robotics foundation model (RFM) and a horizontal robotics platform, raising $105 million co-led by Eclipse and Khosla Ventures, with participation from Bpifrance, HSG, and visionary leaders Eric Schmidt and Xavier Niel.

Physical labor contributes an estimated $30-40 trillion to the Global GDP, yet over 95 percent of it remains unautomated due to the limitations of current automation solutions.
