Tackling Legal Issues in Robotics Startups is Doable with the Right Legal Support

August 9, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Entrepreneurs starting a robotics startup often feel a mix of excitement and pressure – they’re of course eager to embrace the potential to innovate and disrupt industries with cutting-edge technology.

However, they also recognize the challenges, from securing funding and assembling a skilled team to steward complex regulations.

According to reports, the global robotics market is set to grow by 11.25% from 2024 to 2028, hitting around $65.59 billion; and with that kind of growth comes heightened scrutiny from regulators, which means that the legal landscape will require more than just tech savvy. Electric Future: Stalled car revolution

January 30, 2023 by Mark Allinson

How green are electric vehicles?

Believe it or not, if you had been walking through Manhattan in 1900, there is a good chance you would have seen an electric car. Roughly one third of cars on the road in New York back then were electric, while the city’s taxi fleet had 30 electric vehicles (EVs). It was to be a brief heyday.

It was Henry Ford’s Model T – first produced in 1908 – that signalled the beginning of the end of the electric car. Suddenly, petrol-fuelled cars were relatively affordable and, thanks to Ford’s pioneering use of the production line, ubiquitous.

Improved roads and cheaper petrol prices saw the electric car all but disappear by the mid-1930s, and it wasn’t until the 1970s – amid soaring oil prices and gasoline prices – that the potential of EVs began to be seriously considered again. Sonatus unveils platform for building software-defined vehicles

February 24, 2022 by Sam Francis

Sonatus, a developer of software defined vehicle technology, has released the next generation of its Sonatus Digital Dynamics Vehicle Platform, which “lives both in-vehicle and in the cloud”, says the company.

Following a successful debut in the Genesis GV60, Sonatus has further enhanced the cloud-side of its platform to bolster automakers’ ability to build software-defined vehicles that can be updated with new features and functionality throughout their entire lifetimes – without requiring new software development.

How to Handle Failing Car Parts

February 22, 2022 by David Edwards

Nobody wants car parts to fail, but vehicle owners don’t always have control over what happens with their cars. They can keep the rides properly maintained to prevent some issues, but car parts can still break down.

Therefore, the question you should probably be asking yourself is, “How will you handle failing car parts when they creep into the picture?”

Unfortunately, these incidents typically happen at the most inopportune times. For instance, if you plan a road trip with your significant other, don’t be surprised if an engine component decides to go kaput.
