Muama Enence Instant Translator Reviews Truth Revealed Unlocking Multilingual Conversations

October 2, 2023 by David Edwards

Traveling around to see the world must be one of the top-most items on everybody’s bucket list. There are so many things to see and experience, so many adventures, journeys, and life lessons gained through traveling.

But not every day in your travel life will be so full of colors and happy memories. Being humans, we tend to make mistakes, get sick, or get lost sometimes, especially if we are in a completely unknown world. And something that stands between you and the world most of the time is the language.

It is true that English is the universal language. But not all countries speak English. So even in a country which speaks English, you may often find people who still doesn’t. [Read more…] about Muama Enence Instant Translator Reviews Truth Revealed Unlocking Multilingual Conversations

WPI researcher receives $600,000 grant to develop 3D printable robots for search-and-rescue operations

September 25, 2023 by David Edwards

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) researcher Markus Nemitz is the recipient of a $599,815 CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation to develop an innovative architecture for low-cost custom robots capable of traversing challenging terrains by swimming, crawling, climbing, and diving through hostile and confined spaces as part of search-and-rescue operations.

Nemitz, an assistant professor in WPI’s Department of Robotics Engineering, will focus on developing small and flexible 3D-printed robots with integrated fluidic circuits that can be rapidly fabricated for specific disasters.

His five-year project will involve testing these robots in a miniaturized model that will be built at WPI and replicate parts of the Tham Luang cave in Thailand where flooding trapped 12 members of a youth soccer team and their coach in 2018. Fraunhofer designs robotic production system that is ‘as versatile as a Swiss Army knife’

September 25, 2023 by David Edwards

The Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology has designed a new robotic production system that it says is “as versatile as a Swiss Army knife”.

Fraunhofer says the system’s features and benefits include:

  • it is utilization-optimized;
  • flexibly arranged production modules equipped via driverless transport systems which can manufacture a variety of products;
  • a production planning and control system that can flexibly allocate these modules;
  • segmentation and intelligent distribution of manufacturing tasks; and
  • possible to produce large-size components in small facilities.

Fraunhofer adds that its “Matrix production and SWAP-IT create a production infrastructure that enables highly efficient manufacturing of even smaller quantities”. [Read more…] about Fraunhofer designs robotic production system that is ‘as versatile as a Swiss Army knife’

In the future, buying cars will ‘feel more like buying a laptop computer’

September 5, 2023 by David Edwards

By Dr James Jeffs, senior technology analyst at IDTechEx

Computer chips have been part of cars for a long time, but no one really cares about them until they stop working or they are late to the production line, grinding manufacturing to an industry-shaking halt.

However, the research within IDTechEx’s “Semiconductors for Autonomous and Electric Vehicles 2023-2033” report shows that trends within the automotive industry mean consumers will soon be caring far more about what chips are in their cars.

IDTechEx expects that purchasing a new vehicle will soon feel like shopping for a new laptop. [Read more…] about In the future, buying cars will ‘feel more like buying a laptop computer’

Carnegie Mellon builds killer robot to save economy

September 5, 2023 by David Edwards

A team from Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute has developed an autonomous robot to find and kill dangerously spotted lanternflies before they’re even born. Spotted lanternflies are invasive insects known to destroy economically important crops. (See video below.)

TartanPest uses an all-electric tractor, a robotic arm and computer vision to traverse fields and forests while it detects and destroys spotted lanternfly egg masses.

The egg masses – which contain 30-50 eggs and are often found on trees, rocks, outdoor furniture and rusty metal surfaces – are laid in the fall and hatch in the spring, birthing a new generation of the pests each year. [Read more…] about Carnegie Mellon builds killer robot to save economy
