15 benefits to using Automation in High-Pressure Die Casting

August 3, 2022 by David Edwards

Die casting is a process that has been used for many years to create products from metal using die casting mould. It is often used when there is a need for mass production of parts, as it can be done quickly and relatively cheaply.

In recent years, however, die casting has begun to be replaced by a new process called Automation in High-Pressure Die Casting. [Read more…] about 15 benefits to using Automation in High-Pressure Die Casting

Small-batch medical shop triples production with robotics

July 27, 2022 by David Edwards

Figuring out how to meet rising production demand can be deceptive. On the surface, it’s a simple math problem. If you have one machine on the floor and it makes eight parts per day, and you need to produce 16 parts per day, just add another machine, right?

Meeting demand in a consistent, cost-effective manner is a bit more complicated. Sometimes, it takes a little more due diligence to uncover the best way to increase throughput or meet rising demand.

The operations group at Ultradent Products, a leading developer and manufacturer of high- tech dental materials and devices, faced such a problem. In 2017, the company sought to increase production of its industry-leading Valo curing light, used by dental clinicians to cure dental composites, sealants, and various other chemistries. How to Get CNC Manufacturing Process Right in Your Shop

July 21, 2022 by David Edwards

When talking about CNC manufacturing process, you must understand that a manufacturing process consists of various operations performed sequentially, adding value to the final product.

Therefore, a typical CNC workshop involves more than one machine performing different operations.

Unlike traditional machines that required a separate operator to handle the operation, CNC machines provide an automated operation, thereby eliminating the need for extra hands in your shop. [Read more…] about How to Get CNC Manufacturing Process Right in Your Shop
