Applied EV selects CISSOID technology to drive autonomous vehicle electric motors

Applied EV, a developer of vehicle control system technologies for software-defined machines, has selected CISSOID’s new CXT-ICM3SA series of Silicon Carbide Inverter Control Modules (ICMs) to drive their latest generation of autonomous vehicle e-motors.

Dedicated to the E-mobility market, CISSOID’s software-powered SiC ICMs are augmented with onboard programmable hardware, accelerating the response time to critical events, off-loading the processor cores and enhancing functional safety.

May Mobility launches Detroit autonomous vehicle pilot

May Mobility, a developer of autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, has launched its Detroit Automated Driving Systems (ADS) pilot in partnership with the City of Detroit’s Office of Mobility Innovation (OMI) and the Michigan Mobility Collaborative (MMC).

The “Accessibili-D” service aims to improve the quality of life for Detroiters who live with disabilities or are age 62 and older.

Autonomous e-Mobility Awards 2024: Qatar recognizes visionaries, innovators, and startups at prestigious ceremony

The Autonomous e-Mobility (AEMOB) Forum 2024 concluded with presenting the AEMOB Awards, recognizing individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding commitment, innovation, and leadership in moving the driverless e-mobility industry forward.

The accolades’ first category, the AEMOB Visionary Award, celebrates individuals who have exemplified exceptional leadership in their field. The recipient of the AEMOB Visionary Award was His Excellency Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the Minister of Transport.

His unwavering dedication to advancing modern mobility has set a remarkable precedent for the industry and for the State of Qatar. Under his stewardship, the country’s public transportation has undergone a significant transformation, with over 70 percent of its fleet now electrified.

Cyngn scales up commercialization of autonomous mobile robots

Beep starts autonomous shuttle at Mississippi university

Beep, a provider of autonomous shared mobility solutions, has reached an agreement with Mississippi State University (MSU) to launch the first-ever autonomous shuttle pilot program in the state of Mississippi on the university’s campus.

The pilot program, launching later this year, will allow MSU to evaluate how shared and electric autonomous mobility solutions may act as a supplement to the campus’ current transportation options, while also providing transportation planning research for rural-urban environments.

Renault to launch autonomous vehicle for public transportation

Renault Group says it has “a pragmatic vision of technology”, based on the principle that innovation only makes sense if it is shared, economically accessible and genuinely useful to as many people as possible.

Technological developments are now making it possible to offer increasingly effective driver assistance and delegation functions adapted to different types of vehicles and use.

Beep autonomous shuttle service launches at Honolulu International Airport

Beep, a provider of autonomous shared mobility solutions, has revealed a first-of-its-kind partnership with Sustainability Partners and the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) for the launch of an 18-month autonomous shuttle pilot at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu.

Qatar Free Zones Authority and the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum collaborate to foster innovation in electric vehicles technology

The Autonomous e-Mobility Forum (AEMOB) has agreed a strategic collaboration with the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) with the intention to advance the conversation on autonomous e-mobility on a global scale.

Formally announced in Doha, Qatar, AEMOB and QFZ said their initiative will serve as “a pioneering platform for international stakeholders in the realm of driverless e-mobility”.

This collaboration represents a convergence of expertise and vision, harnessing QFZ’s unique position in facilitating trade and investment to propel the e-mobility ecosystem forward, and leveraging the strategic advantages of Qatar’s free zones to catalyze the development and deployment of next-generation e-mobility technologies.

Auve Tech launches its autonomous shuttle in the US

Auve Tech, a developer of autonomous transportation systems, based in Tallinn, Estonia, has officially launched its flagship product, the MiCa shuttle, in the US market.

Auve Tech says the MiCa vehicle offers “turnkey autonomous transportation solutions tailored to diverse environments and simple integration into existing transport networks”.

In an innovative collaboration, Auve Tech has partnered with Guident to integrate its teleoperation solution into the MiCa autonomous shuttle, amplifying its safety features and augmenting Auve Tech’s advanced autonomous technology.
