Seoul Robotics establishes office at Curiosity Lab in Peachtree Corners

Peachtree Corners, a tiny US town which claims to be “one of the world’s first smart cities powered by real-world connected infrastructure and 5G”, has been chosen by Seoul Robotics as a new location for its company.

Seoul Robotics has established its United States office in Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners. The company’s presence in Curiosity Lab will fuel further development of its groundbreaking 3D perception platform, while providing the company with a real-world testing environment along Peachtree Corners’ city streets.

William Muller, vice president of business development for Seoul Robotics, says: “With our 3D smart infrastructure solutions already deployed in areas across the Southeast, establishing an office within Curiosity Lab was the logical next step as we continue to expand our US presence. Deloitte unveils ‘first-of-its-kind’ smart factory and warehouse in Canada

Deloitte Canada has opened what it says is a first-of-its-kind facility showcasing an interconnected ecosystem of more than 20 cutting-edge solutions and technologies and intent on transforming manufacturing and warehousing through digital transformation.

The facility has been named The Smart Factory @ Montreal.

Heraeus becomes largest shareholder in startup Smart Steel Technologies

Technology company Heraeus is expanding its expertise in artificial intelligence and AI-based process optimization by acquiring a stake in the Berlin-based start-up Smart Steel Technologies, making it the largest shareholder.

Jan Rinnert, CEO of Heraeus Holding and chairman of the management board, says: “Artificial intelligence and optimization of production processes are becoming increasingly important in the steel industry, too.

“AI solutions increase efficiency, sustainability and quality standards along the entire process chain. Global autonomous cars market size to reach $16 billion by 2030

The global market for autonomous cars was valued at $1.35 billion in 2021 and is projected to reach $15.55 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 31.19 percent from 2023 to 2030.

The increasing demand for connected cars employing the internet of things and the growing development of smart cities in the countries is driving the Autonomous Cars Market growth.

Moorebot launches Scout E monitoring robot

Moorebot, the maker of robot applications like the Hubble Hugo Baby Cam and the Zeus fighting robot, has launched its new Scout E Robot “for kids, for adults, for homes and for businesses”.

Equipped with a high definition FHD1080P video camera as well as a microphone and speakers, the Moorebot Scout E can “range everywhere” and explore under beds, tables and chairs. Scout E supports a secure peer-to-peer connection which allows users to access the robot remotely from anywhere in the world.

Smart Robotics launches new robotic merchandise picker

Smart Robotics, a specialist developer of pick and place solutions for warehouses and logistics processes, has launched its newly engineered Smart Merchandise Picker.

TeamViewer and Hyundai partner to accelerate digital innovation in automotive smart factory

TeamViewer, a provider of remote connectivity and workplace digitalisation solutions, is partnering with mobility solutions provider Hyundai Motor to digitalise business operations and manufacturing processes for Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS).

TeamViewer and Hyundai Motor Company will cooperate to maximise digitalisation benefits in HMGICS’ smart factory using TeamViewer’s Augmented Reality (AR) platform, which includes Mixed Reality (MR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.

The platform will support assembly, maintenance, quality management, logistics, client experience projects and workforce training. Numurus secures $2 million to grow its open-source robotic applications software business

Numurus, a robotic solutions company and developer of NEPI, a commercial open-source software solution for robotic and smart sensing applications, has secured $2 million in funding led by Tokusui Corporation of America.

The startup says the funds will help it to establish its position in the rapidly growing robotics and smart sensing markets.

Combined with previous funding, this investment fortifies Numurus’ first-to-market entrance with its fully-developed NEPI software suite that focuses on edge artificial intelligence (Edge AI), sensor and data abstraction, and system interfacing.
