Vision Factory receives UR+ software certification

Universal Robots (UR) has launched Robotic Vision Technologies Inc.’s (RVT) Vision Factory (VF) software suite for promotion on its UR+ certified third-party solutions catalogue.

This marks a major step in the adoption of Vision Factory into the collaborative robot ecosystem and the beginning of a Robot-as-a-Service model for the company.

The addition of Vision Factory to UR+’s catalogue brings 3D vision to a significant user base for the first time.

PerceptIn launches ‘first-ever’ long-range visual perception device enabling high-speed trains to see 1,000 meters ahead

PerceptIn, a developer of robotic vision technologies, has unveiled what it describes as a “thousand-meter visual perception module”.

Specially designed for semi-autonomous high-speed trains, the thousand-meter visual perception module can also be tuned to cover a 300-meter range for universal deployment in industrial and commercial autonomous vehicles such as logistics trucks.

Robotic Vision Technologies launches new random bin picking technology

Robotic Vision Technologies has released the beta version of its Random Bin Picking vision guidance product for the emerging collaborative robot market.

The latest version of RVT’s machine vision software, collaborative VisionFactory (cVF), expands the company’s RBP solution beyond traditional industrial robots to the collaborative robot market comprised of mostly small and medium-sized enterprises.

The SME market makes up the majority of manufacturing in the US.

Robotic Vision Technologies, a provider of machine vision software, has upgraded its eVisionFactory solution.

The company says the new system is “transforming the way car manufacturers operate with the latest version upgrade to the award-winning eVisionFactory technology”.

Robotic Vision Technologies secures $10.5 million in funding

Robotic Vision Technologies, a provider of machine vision software, has secured more than $10.5 million in funding.

The investment comes from a mix of CEO and director funding as well as investments from technology funds from Silicon Valley, Northern Virginia, Canada and Germany.
