The Benefits of Robotic Automation in Offshore Operations

May 21, 2024 by David Edwards

With the level of workplace hazards in the offshore industry, it’s only reasonable to optimize areas that pose a huge risk to OGE workers. OSHA estimates that from 2015 to 2022 alone, over 2,101 offshore workers were severely injured due to work-related procedures.

These procedures usually involve working under challenging conditions, such as extreme weather, limited accessibility, and hazardous environments, which can pose a massive threat to OGE employees’ health and physical well-being.

And let’s not leave out the consequences for maritime companies. According to The Chopin Law Firm LLC, a group of renowned offshore injury lawyers, companies face staggering costs from workplace accidents, including medical expenses, legal fees, and compensatory damages that can run into millions of dollars while still suffering high operational inefficiencies. Security robots ‘deter crime and minimize risk’, says Knightscope

March 23, 2023 by Mark Allinson

The concept of automated policing began as a science fiction concept years ago, but today it is “real and impactful”, according to security robotics specialist Knightscope.

The sophistication of robot-powered security is even more interesting than sci-fi to Stacy Stephens, the co-founder and chief client officer of Knightscope.

Launched in 2013, the Mountain View, California, public safety technology services company was the first in the world to deploy mobile, fully autonomous security robots (ASRs) in public spaces such as malls, parking lots and neighborhood parks. How Does Cyber Technology Affect Security?

December 7, 2022 by Mark Allinson

Cyber technology is the foundation of the present day’s digital society. It is what we require for automated vehicles, online meetings, the IoT, and all the other things that change how we live.

However, it also puts a lot of pressure on our data’s security and the internet’s dependability. Just as when you face an issue with your network, you instantly wonder what’s the Summer service number to Spectrum.

Likewise, when you come across technical issues like data breaches, you immediately think of getting in touch with cybersecurity teams for quick resolutions of the problems. [Read more…] about How Does Cyber Technology Affect Security?
