RC Mowers awarded Canoe Procurement Group cooperative contract

RC Mowers, a manufacturer of robotic and autonomous mowers, has been awarded a cooperative purchasing contract through Canoe Procurement Group of Canada, significantly expanding the company’s access to the Canadian public sector market.

The contract provides Canadian municipalities, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations with a faster way to purchase RC Mowers’ autonomous and remote-controlled mowing solutions.

Mercado Libre, a commerce and fintech ecosystem in Latin America, has announced a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics, creator of the humanoid robot Digit.

Meiko Group partners with Fizyr and Yaskawa Europe on automated dishwashing

Fizyr, a provider of advanced vision AI, and Yaskawa Europe, one of the world’s largest robotics and industrial automation companies, have teamed up with Meiko Group to bring automation to commercial kitchens. 

Meiko, known for its professional warewashing, cleaning, and disinfection systems, is working with the two technology companies to develop an automated dish sorting and washing solution.

Gartner predicts one in 20 supply chain managers will manage robots, not humans, by 2030

Eighty percent of humans will engage with smart robots on a daily basis, and one in 20 supply chain managers will manage robots, rather than humans, by 2030, according to business management consultancy Gartner.

Organizations are placing greater emphasis on enhancing the capabilities of their existing workforce by supplementing with robotics due to factors like labor scarcity and rising costs.

Smart robots have been identified by chief supply chain officers (CSCOs) as an important investment area, though many acknowledge their organization lacks internal robotics expertise to maximally leverage these innovative technologies.
