Dyna Robotics unveils ‘breakthrough in robust, real-world embodied AI’

Dyna Robotics has unveiled what it describes as a “breakthrough” in robotic autonomy with the release of Dynamism v1 (Dyna-1), the company’s first robot foundation model capable of sustained, high-performance operation on complex dexterous tasks using a pair of stationary robotic arms.

Dyna-1 distinguishes itself through exceptional robustness and reliability, even over extended periods of continuous use.

Doosan Robotics to supply 300 collaborative robots across Southeast Asia

Doosan Robotics has signed an agreement with VRNJ, a robotic system integrator in Thailand, for the supply of 300 collaborative robots.

Under the agreement, Doosan Robotics will deliver 300 units from its four collaborative robot series – A, H, M, and P – over the next two years, with an initial order of 60 units already confirmed.

Additionally, both companies have committed to developing tailored automation solutions for manufacturing applications and expanding their presence in key Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Ati Motors to showcase latest autonomous mobile robots at Automate event

Ati Motors is set to showcase a range of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) at Automate 2025, taking place May 12-15 in Detroit.

The company will demonstrate four models at booth #1823, including a US debut and a product launch.

Headlining the lineup is the Sherpa Pallet Mover, a robust AMR capable of autonomously lifting and transporting up to 1 ton (1,000 kg).

More and more companies are relying on automated guided vehicles (AGVs) in intralogistics to increase efficiency and meet challenges such as a shortage of skilled workers.

This is also the case at GGP Media, in Pößneck, Thuringia, which produces high-quality print and digital publications.

Crouzet extends its range of intelligent electric motors

Industrial automation company Crouzet has extended its range of intelligent electric motors.

The company says its SQ75 DCmind Brushless 600W motor has integrated electronics and “knows no limit”.

The new motor’s onboard intelligence, its safety functionalities and its communication capabilities, SQ75 offers new applications to Crouzet. Industrial automation market to reach $352 billion by 2024, says report

The market for industrial automation products and services is forecast to reach $352 billion by 2024, according to a report by Transparency Market Research.

According to the study, the global industrial automation market is projected to rise at 6.6 percent a year over the forecast period between 2016 and 2024.

Sequent Microsystems launches new Raspberry Pi card for industrial automation

Sequent Microsystems, a tech startup from Cupertino, California, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new industrial expansion card for the Raspberry Pi platform.

The company says the I/O card is “loaded with inputs, outputs, and relays, the card challenges the traditional industrial automation market in features and cost”.

ABB opens first-ever robotics training centre in Romania

The Polytechnic University in Bucharest, Romania

Industrial robotics giant ABB has opened what is said to be the “first-ever” robotics centre in Romania, according to local media.

BusinessReview.eu, an English-language Romanian website, says the new robotics facility is a public-private partnership between ABB and the Polytechnic University in Bucharest.

Fanuc reports more than 40 per cent increase in profits on strength of China sales

The world’s largest industrial robot manufacturer, Fanuc, says its profits have increased by more than 40 per cent as a result of strong demand from China, according to a report on Nikkei. 

The company is currently reporting its financial performance for the six-month period up to September.
