Fabric and Reply partner to expand robotic capabilities for warehouses

Fabric, a retail fulfillment automation company, and Reply, which specializes in new communications channels and digital media, have entered into a strategic partnership to offer brands and retailers “seamless integration” to a single point solution for a warehouse management system and automated robotic fulfillment.

Fabric will use the LEA Reply supply-chain execution platform – developed by Logistics Reply – to integrate with its automation solution and provide a ready-to-use connector to Reply’s leading WMS in the market.

This will also allow both Fabric and Reply to quickly develop new features for their customers to improve the performance of the robotics, WES, and WMS with minimal additional integration efforts and no disruption to the customers’ operations. Norwegian postal service to deliver mail using robots

One of Europe’s largest postal services, Posten Norge, is testing the future of the logistics delivery in Oslo with Ottobots, produced by a company called Ottonomy.

Continuing to pave the way for autonomous delivery, Ottonomy announced its collaboration with Posten Norge and Holo for trials for automating first-mile delivery.

Guident selected to provide autonomous shuttle services

Guident has been selected by Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) to provide an autonomous shuttle service for a 2.1-mile fixed route with eleven stops within BRiC and connecting to the Boca Raton Tri Rail station, the most frequented station in South Florida.

The service will utilize Polaris GEM e6 vehicles equipped with autonomous vehicle capabilities integrated with Guident’s Remote Monitor and Control Center (RMCC) located at BRiC.

Starship Technologies launches robot delivery service at Missouri university

Starship Technologies, the world’s leading provider of autonomous delivery services, rolled out its robot food delivery service today on the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) campus.

Starship’s fleet of 16 autonomous, on-demand robots will deliver from all campus eateries. The school’s students and faculty can now use the Starship app (iOS and Android) to order food and drinks from local retailers to be delivered anywhere on campus, within minutes. The service works in conjunction with the student meal plan.

Olivia Romisch, student, says: “I’m really excited for these robots! Ottonomy releases robot at Rome airport

Ottonomy, a maker of autonomous delivery robots, has launched Ottobot 2.0 at pier A of Terminal 1 at Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), in Italy.

The autonomous delivery project is part of ADR’s long-term strategy, aimed at maintaining the highest levels of service and enhancing passengers’ experience using cutting edge technology and innovation.

Autonomous delivery vehicle maker Clevon expands in America

Clevon, an autonomous delivery vehicle maker, is expanding the company’s operations to North America with the opening of its Center of Excellence and US headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone (MIZ).

As part of the celebration today, Clevon will also host President of the Republic of Estonia Alar Karis; Brandom Gengelbach, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce; and Ross Perot, Jr, chairman for the Perot Group and Hillwood at the company’s opening commemoration.

Clevon is expanding into the North American market as the pressure from businesses to offer on-demand, same-day or next-day delivery of goods and services continues to skyrocket. Cartken rolls out Nvidia chip-based delivery robots-as-a-service

There’s a new sidewalk-savvy robot in the robot world, and it’s delivering coffee, grub and a taste of fun.

The bot is garnering interest for Oakland, California startup Cartken. The company, founded in 2019, has rapidly deployed robots for a handful of customer applications, including for Starbucks and Grubhub deliveries.

Cartken CEO Chris Bersch says that he and co-founders Jonas Witt, Jake Stelman and Anjali Jindal Naik got excited about the prospect for robots because of the technology’s readiness and affordability. Uber and Nuro agree 10-year partnership for autonomous food deliveries starting in California and Texas

Uber Technologies and Nuro, an autonomous vehicle technology company, have agreed a multi-year partnership to use Nuro’s autonomous, electric vehicles for food deliveries in the United States.

Uber Eats consumers will be able to order meals and goods delivered by Nuro’s zero-occupant autonomous delivery vehicles, which run on public roads and are built specifically to carry food and other goods.

Starship and Grubhub partner to bring robot delivery services to college campuses

Starship Technologies, a provider of autonomous delivery robots, and Grubhub, a food ordering and delivery marketplace, are partnering to provide robot delivery services on college campuses across the United States.

This delivery is currently available at the University of Kentucky, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Wayne State University, Southern Methodist University and Fairfield University, and will be available at multiple other college campuses later this year.

More than 170,000 students will have access to robot deliveries across these campuses, joining the list of over 25 schools across the United States where Starship’s robots provide deliveries with its global fleet of over 2,000 robots. Motional and Uber partner to offer robotaxi rides

Motional and Uber Technologies have reached a commercial agreement to offer fully driverless rides using Motional’s new all-electric IONIQ 5-based robotaxis.

The 10-year, multimarket agreement creates the opportunity for effective scaling and broad adoption of autonomous vehicles by pairing Motional’s advanced driverless technology with Uber’s network of millions of customers.

The companies will strategically deploy the service in cities across the US, with the first trips expected to start later this year.
