Epson signs Motion Automation Intelligence as distributor in central and southeast US regions

Epson Robots, one of the largest robot manufacturers in the world, has signed Motion Ai, a supplier of automation products and motion control solutions, as an official distributor of Epson Robots automation solutions.

Partnering with the industry’s leading manufacturers, Motion Ai is a one-stop-shop for automation products and custom solutions for businesses in several industries including semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical, logistics, automotive, aerospace and more.

Saas-Fee is a hamlet in Switzerland that prohibits the use of automobiles and is located at the base of the highest peak in Switzerland, the Dom (4,545 meters above sea level).

TotalEnergies and Amada Europe strengthen their partnership

TotalEnergies, a global multi-energy production and supply company, and Amada Europe, a manufacturer of machine tools for the sheet metal industry, have signed a partnership for the supply of original equipment lubricants to Amada Europe’s plants as well as a range of Amada branded lubricants.

The partnership will last for five years and will cover 14 countries in Europe.

Swisslog opens new location in Dortmund

After 30 years in Dortmund’s Technology Park, Swiss intralogistics specialist Swisslog is now moving into a new building in the Dorstfeld district of the city.

The company says the move is a sign of expansion and future orientation as well as a commitment to the Ruhr metropolis and Germany as a business location.

Locus Robotics and Manhattan team up for retail and 3PL customers

Locus Robotics, a leader in autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for fulfilment warehouses, has announced a strategic integration partnership with Manhattan Associates, a supply chain and omnichannel solutions provider.

The partnership makes Manhattan a licensed reseller of Locus’s autonomous, multi-robot solution for warehouse fulfillment and will facilitate the development of integration tools to improve productivity and efficiency for shared retail and third-party logistics (3PL) customers.

“The sustained massive growth in e-commerce has left the supply chain industry at a turning point. Retailers and 3PLs are seeking autonomous mobile robots to solve their productivity, efficiency and labour challenges,” said Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics.

Foxconn boss reiterates commitment to build factory in Wisconsin

Foxconn boss Terry Gou has reiterated his commitment to building a multi-million-dollar factory in Mount Pleasant, in the US state of Wisconsin.

The chairman of Foxconn, which is better known as Hon Hai Precision in its native Taiwan, met with US President Donald Trump at the White House earlier this week.

After the meeting, media reports suggested that Foxconn will make additional investments in the Wisconsin facility.
