CynLr brings object intelligence and vision of universal factories to UN summit on AI

July 14, 2025 by David Edwards

CynLr also opens new US center for business development

CynLr, a foundational technology building company in robotics and AI, is joining the United Nations AI for Good Global Summit 2025 to share its pioneering work in “object intelligence”, the technology stack that enables visual robots to intuitively learn to pick and handle even unknown objects without prior training, much like how human babies explore and manipulate objects.

CyRo is designed to handle unfamiliar objects and changing environments without needing to be pre-programmed for each new task.

CynLr’s work aims to lay the groundwork for “universal factories”, where decentralized micro factories can be programmatically repurposed to manufacture a wide range of products, supporting sustainable and personalized production. Nordic Dino robot helps airlines deal with insect season

July 14, 2025 by David Edwards

Nordic Dino robot helps ‘reduce aircraft exterior cleaning times by up to 80 percent’

Aircraft performance during insect season faces a costly challenge that many airlines underestimate.

Research shows that insect accumulation on an aircraft’s laminar flow area and increase fuel consumption by 1.1 percent to 4.4 percent, with contamination levels as low as 400 insects creating measurable drag penalties.

In other words, insect season can cost airlines millions annually. [Read more…] about Nordic Dino robot helps airlines deal with insect season

The Rise of the Autonomous Fab Shop: Why Waterjet Cutting is Leading the Automation Revolution

July 9, 2025 by David Edwards

Imagine a fabrication shop where machines talk to each other, adjust operations in real time, and deliver parts with minimal human intervention. That’s not a sci-fi scene – it’s the emerging reality of the autonomous fab shop.

Across the manufacturing landscape, automation is not just an upgrade – it’s a redefinition of how things are made. And one unlikely hero stands at the center of this shift: waterjet cutting.

Unlike other cutting methods, waterjet systems are uniquely suited to automation. Their cold-cutting precision, material flexibility, and compatibility with robotics make them a natural fit for the smart factories of tomorrow.
