Dexterity, a developer of robotics and physical AI, has launched what it describes as the world’s first “industrial superhumanoid” robot.

Named Mech, the new platform is designed to tackle strenuous and repetitive tasks in logistics and manufacturing environments – tasks traditionally handled by human workers.

Automated electric truck points to the future of smart port logistics

The integration of automated electric driving and hands-free charging systems took a major step forward this week, with a live demonstration at APM Terminals Maasvlakte II, located at the Port of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

Rosendin to showcase robotic solar installation system at Texas job site

Rosendin, which claims to be the largest employee-owned electrical contractor in the US, is preparing to publicly demonstrate a new robotic system designed to accelerate the construction of solar energy projects. (See video below.)

The showcase, scheduled for April 17 at a utility-scale solar site in West Texas, will feature a three-part autonomous robotic system developed to install photovoltaic (PV) panels more quickly and safely than traditional manual methods.

DoorDash and Coco Robotics partner to launch new sidewalk delivery robot

DoorDash, a local commerce platform, and Coco Robotics, a food delivery robotics company, have expanded their partnership to offer sidewalk robot delivery for DoorDash customers in select US markets.

This builds on an existing pilot program with Wolt – DoorDash’s international arm – where Coco robots have been making deliveries in Helsinki since earlier this year.

Construction robotics: Okibo brings painting robot to America

Okibo, a developer of construction robotics, is opening its US headquarters in Englewood, New Jersey, and the official launch of its EG7 robot in the American market.

After establishing its US base in 2024, Okibo’s fully autonomous, AI-guided painting and drywall finishing robots are already active on major American construction sites, having covered more than one million square feet in Europe.

The EG7 is a next-generation, battery-powered robot requiring zero site preparation, external references, or technical expertise to operate. Unlike systems that depend on external markers or BIM tools, the EG7 uses a patented AI-driven 3D scanning and real-time modeling algorithm for navigation and execution. Automaker BYD to sell ‘general-purpose’ humanoid robots for $10,000 each

BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle and battery manufacturer, has launched a new solar-powered humanoid robot, named “BoYoboD”.

This “general-purpose” robot is designed to assist with various household chores, including laundry, folding clothes, vacuuming, raking leaves, and cleaning bathrooms. Priced at approximately $10,000 (73,000 yuan), BYD plans to begin deliveries in China by December 2025.

BoYoboD is equipped with advanced artificial intelligence and features a solar power charging kit. Users can place the accompanying solar panel system outdoors, allowing the robot to autonomously recharge when its battery falls below a user-defined threshold.
