Vision Factory receives UR+ software certification

Universal Robots (UR) has launched Robotic Vision Technologies Inc.’s (RVT) Vision Factory (VF) software suite for promotion on its UR+ certified third-party solutions catalogue.

This marks a major step in the adoption of Vision Factory into the collaborative robot ecosystem and the beginning of a Robot-as-a-Service model for the company.

The addition of Vision Factory to UR+’s catalogue brings 3D vision to a significant user base for the first time.

ASTI Mobile Robotics and InSystems Automation sign commercial partnership deal

ASTI Mobile Robotics and InSystems Automation have signed a commercial partnership agreement in order to strengthen their position in the European market.

With this agreement, ASTI Mobile Robotics and InSystems Automation will expand markets and take up new opportunities, as a result of synergies from having complementary automatic guided system vehicles (AGVs) ranges.

ASTI Mobile Robotics and InSystems announced the business agreement at LogiMAT 2019 in Stuttgart, Germany, where the companies shared a booth.

Universal Robots partners with Bharat Fritz Werner in India

India is emerging as one of the fastest growing economies in the new millennium and the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment is expected to play a significant role in this growth.

Epson signs FPE Automation as distributor in US

Epson’s new C8 series of industrial robots

Epson Robots has signed FPE Automation as an official distributor for the full line of Epson Robots automation products.

This includes Epson SCARA, 6-axis and linear module robots as well as integrated solutions such as Vision and Force Guide, fieldbus I/O and many other industrial automation products offered by Epson Robots.

In this article, SICK, a supplier of industrial sensors and sensor systems, provides detailed insight into the subject of safety while working with collaborative robots.

The Safe Robotics Area Protection safety system from SICK provides process-based protection for collaborative robot applications.

It consists of a Flexi Soft safety controller and a safety laser scanner – either the space-saving S300 Mini Remote for shorter scanning ranges or the microScan3 Core for larger monitoring fields.
