Fanuc claims its new palletising robot is ‘fastest’ in its class

Fanuc has unveiled a new palletizing robot which it claims is the fastest in its class. 

Fanuc is believed the be the world’s largest industrial robot manufacturer, and debuted its new robot at Pack Expo a few days ago.

The company says the Fanuc M-410iC/110 is “capable of performing 2040 standard palletizing cycles an hour, making it the fastest palletizing robot in its class”.  [Read more…] about Fanuc claims its new palletising robot is ‘fastest’ in its class

Yaskawa Electric reports stunning 150 per cent more profits with robotics and automation leading the way

Yaskawa Electric says it has achieved a staggering 150 per cent growth in net profit for the period from April to September, compared with the same period last year, according to a report on Nikkei. 

Nikkei says Yaskawa’s profits for the period were $184 million, beating its own previous records.

Cloos and Baumüller find increased efficiency in automated welding technology

Midea embarks on journey to transform itself into a ‘high-tech industry leader’

Chinese home appliances giant Midea says it has completed its acquisition of German company Kuka, one of the world’s largest industrial robot manufacturers. 

While the deal prompted some consternation among those who said the German government should stop the takeover, as well as with those people who subsequently demanded the European Union make it more difficult for Chinese companies to buy EU companies, the two companies are now part of the same group.

Integro Technologies and Universal Robots to launch new 
3D pick-n-place system at South-Tec

Integro Technologies, a certified integrator for Universal Robots, has designed and developed a 3D pick-n-place system that will be displayed at the South-Tech event in Greenville, South Carolina, from October 24-26.

Integro says it realizes that collaborative robot arms from Universal Robots are helping manufacturers step into Industry 4.0 seamlessly and safely.

China’s largest industrial robot maker Siasun opens new facility in Shengyang

Siasun Robot and Automation, which is claimed to be China’s largest industrial robot manufacturer, has opened a new facility in Shengyang, north-east China. 

Siasun became the first member of the US Robotics Industries Association when it joined the industry body last month.

Painting was one of the first applications for industrial robots, but it didn’t start well.

Arnold Automation, a newly created division of Arnold Packaging, says it has signed the first-ever distribution deal with Ready Robotics to distribute the TaskMate, Ready Robotics’ flexible automation platform.

Epson to demonstrate newly launched T3 all-in-one SCARA robot at the Assembly Show

Epson Robots will be showcasing its newly launched T3 All-in-One SCARA robot at the manufacturing industry event The Assembly Show.

Epson says that as well as the T3, it will also showcase its “revolutionary” Flexion N2 6-Axis robot, as well as a selection of its leading 6-Axis and SCARA robots.

P4Q ‘increases productivity, improves part quality’ with Rethink’s Sawyer industrial robot

Rethink Robotics’ collaborative robot Sawyer is being utilised by Spanish electronics manufacturer to achieve higher levels of consistency

P4Q, a Spanish manufacturer of electronic products and systems, says it has increased production throughput by 25 percent by deploying smart, adaptable automation on the factory floor.

Rethink Robotics’ Sawyer is testing printed circuit boards and driving improvements in process consistency that are resulting in better part quality and overall production output, says the company.
