How to use an online Gerber file editor to add or remove traces and vias

October 18, 2023 by David Edwards

Gerber files are the standard format for PCB manufacturing. They contain all of the information needed to create a PCB, including the layout of the traces, vias, and pads.

Online Gerber file editors allow you to view and edit Gerber files without having to install any software on your computer.

This can be a convenient option if you need to make minor changes to a PCB layout or if you don’t have access to a computer with PCB design software installed. [Read more…] about How to use an online Gerber file editor to add or remove traces and vias

Startups in the Robotics Industry

October 13, 2023 by David Edwards

By Michael Mayr, industrial equipment industry sales strategy expert, Dassault Systèmes

Every robotics startup starts with just a clever idea. A clever idea that will bring technology to a specific industry, use case or application and answer the growing need for automation, due in particular to worldwide human aging and the labor shortage it creates, but also for re- and nearshoring demand based on global supply-chain issues.

Figures reflect this observation. The number of industrial robots has consistently increased in the past few years and will keep doing so: we can expect a growth of 7 percent per year from 2023 until 2030. There is a similar trend for services robots with a growth of 37 percent of professional service robots in 2021.

Traditional Robotics players will not be able to cover the increasing gap of robotic-based automation worldwide alone the next 10 years. Therefor the attention from the markets is extremely high to the new powerful Robotics Startups communities to close the gap. [Read more…] about Startups in the Robotics Industry
